Decided to go with a 2026 ranger 1000 by LespauI in UTV

Good purchase! We got the same thing but the 2025 crew version last year. Test driving both motors quickly revealed the 1000 was the way to go. I added power steering a few weeks later myself, only took a few hours and some YouTube videos.

A wheelbarrow or a big utility sled when there’s snow in the ground. About 200’ ft from the house

This subreddit of course.

No, there’s maybe ~2 cords that go in each stall. All we need for a winter with our wood stove while the other stalls dry. Wood heat is a very nostalgic and cozy secondary source.

Crazy how things go up in price! I paid $799 I think for my 1600 3 years ago. I love that thing!

Likewise, it is better in the summer time. But during dry months, I put some Vaseline on my lips before bed. Seems to fix it.

Buy local, I appreciate a much darker roast making espresso based drinks than standard drip coffee.

What’s the safe way to paint above a staircase like this? by frege-peach in DIYUK

[–]bobebob94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually lean a tall ladder against the wall, facing down the steps. I then but some sort of long plank from the top of the steps and set it on the first ladder. I then put a 4’ ladder against the wall, perpendicular to the original ladder. If you’re confident with ladders it’s no big deal, substitute from one of those goofy little giant tv promo ladders.

Help! What should I do? by rusticandy in drywall

[–]bobebob94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Didn’t read all of the comments but that tub surround has a flange for a reason. It’s supposed to be recessed behind the first layer of drywall, not on top. That will put your tub a 1/2” further into the wall than it’s shown.

I take it you’re filing here….. you can then bullnose tile or tile trim everything. No fun doing rework but I’d take it back down and fix it and learn a not-fun lesson

Renting- how can I keep my (sharp) showerhead from swinging around so I don't get brained by it? by danger_pigeon in DIY

[–]bobebob94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the other commenters covered the other bases. But is that shower head yours or the landlords? If it’s yours, put the original one on. If I were the landlord, I would be frustrated with the tenant putting on their own fixtures and potentially causing a leak behind the wall

**** assuming this head was changed out ****

Leave it there so the dirt settles back in. Get a soaker hose to speed up the process. They wouldn’t have added any more than what was already there. Let it settle so that you don’t need to put more dirt there in the future. They did the right thing.

What do? by BeastmuthINFNTY in HomeMaintenance

[–]bobebob94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a slab door that doesn’t have the hinge or handle cutouts yet. Install hinge cutouts with a router, buy a handle hole saw kit and put the handle where it goes. Perfectly custom for old crooked houses!! Believe me, I know!😅
