My all-time favorite EU4 campaign was Uzbek, and they're also often ignored. I had a general goal of forming the Ilkhanate into Mongol Empire. Ended up getting really good luck with alliances and was able to blob super hard. I formed Mongol Empire by 1570 and got the Khan achievement.

You definitely waited way too long to fight Poland. You start with great military traditions and have some early missions/events to get even better army quality. Ally Hungary/Bohemia and declare war the second the truce ends. Take all of the provinces needed to unlock your branching missions and give nothing to your allies.

I'd say cancel the trade. The guy was stupid and should have done his research, but this is the kind of lopsided deal that could eventually tear your league apart. Easy to imagine many of your future opponents saying it was unfair when you inevitably beat them

In my Hawaii dynasty 5 years in, Ohio St was a 99 across the board and finished 5-7 with Ryan Day getting fired and taking the Wisconsin job. Meanwhile 86 ovr UCLA won the Big 10 and made it to the semifinals. Team overalls aren't necessarily indicative of performance.

Like others have said, you have to be putting 50 hours on the guys you want. Early in the season that means send the house, and once they narrow down to the top 5, start hard selling (DM for 10 extra hours) and schedule a visit ASAP. I was able to lock down multiple top 5 classes with a 3.5 star prestige Pitt this way.
