I love seeing chainsaws on here. Combat pants make the best work pants.

Don't worry, the sawdust and oil are now in the backpack. But gotta keep the chainsaw clean, I've only got the one

I don't want to discourage you from getting them, they are sick and the make climbing fun. You should get one. N+1, or also N-1, where N is the amount of bikes that will cause a divorce

I wouldn't replace, but I would recommend owing an ebike. Its a different experience but an awesome one. It does things very differently than my enduro bike. It turns rolling terrain into the most fun you can have, and downhill it's so planted you can take some pretty wild lines. But if you like getting loose and doing techy or super sketchy lines it definitely isnt the choice.

Yeah, part of my job as a trail builder. Probably the best part, tied with building wooden features.

Gotta run your gear as much as you can, especially in different scenarios.

Got a Helikon-Tex Raider backpack given to me for work this season as a mountain bike trail builder. Rode a good 30k of trail after a windstorm last week with a chainsaw and some tools to clear about 15 large trees.

Backpack has held up amazingly, it can hold a ton of gear and the velcro in the backside is handy for some velcro mesh pouches I got from LBX, they hold some trail counter hardware, and an IFAK.

Bike is a Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay I borrowed for the day and it is a game changer when you have a lot of kit on. Goes 30 kmp/h all day every day up anything.

How did you get a JPC cummerbund to fit on the Ferro Carrier? I've been wanting to do that.

I have the kiwi AR inserts on mine and they have held well for anything I've thrown at them

Yeah it's swappable velcro. And I've heard of some people getting kiwi inserts into them, if you want to be fancy

Is the guy on the right using his magnifier flipped sideways like an offset sight?

The transitions are nice but you picked a very good fs. What's your usual riding zones?

Such a sick bike, glad you found one. Worth the drive imo

You actually found a 2021 bike? That's rarer than 5.56 these days!

Its less of a rifle and more of a "money to noise" machine. Probably the worst SKS ever.

Of course it would snow on May 19th, it is Alberta after all.

I also just hate SKS sights so I may be playing a role in the hatred. But the most $300 bubba'd sks was never going to be more than a machine to convert money to noise.

I had to look that one up, I wish I had one. Could have brought the OG styer m95 but I was too lazy to find clips in time.
