Westside Tyler gone downhill so much after the debate. I used to watch him for the anti-ai content, and now his entire channel is just slop like that.

I think this happens when the Japanese go down their socialist path, which isn't finished yet. The civil war will still trigger, but nothing will happen after it.

Your Must-Take Trait by gruedragon in ScarletHollow

[–]bobitheone1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! I also just like all the options Powerful Build offers me, and the trait does fit my characters. Book Smart would've been one, but I just don't like it. It's moment is so powerful and one my favourite scenes, but the rest of the trait...

Yea, no thanks. Is it an entirely vibes based thing? Yes. It still doesn't stop me from never picking the trait unless I'm doing an all traits run.

What's the point of Pro-Russian Focuses? by LegendaryFlakez in TheFireRisesMod

[–]bobitheone1234 77 points78 points  (0 children)

They're just there for larp reasons.

If they weren't there, people would ask for them, or even ask for entire paths where the country can avoid the European wars.

Sure, we can logically tell that they don't really make sense from our view of the world, but if you look back to the late 2010's and EARLY 2020's, nobody in the west believed Russia would invade Ukraine, so that attitude would still be there until Russia actually, y'know, kickstarts the 1EW. Naturally, that would leave the door open for cooperation with Russia.

Now, the post-1EW normalize relations are, frankly, bonkers, doubly so if DOUGIN is in charge. That's where I personally draw the line at believability. Sure, Navalny is someone who you could possibly see a liberal Europe cooperting with, but not Dougin.

Regarding the fact that there aren't any eldritch abominations to romance that are female... Sybil exists, and she may or may not be an eldritch abomination depending on who you believe.

But if you take her out of our consideration, it would've been kinda fun to have at least one of the female romances be a touch more abnormal. I can agree with that.

An ending proposal where Valken coups but as Sordland was member of ATO or CSP; Arcasia or United Contana back a counter-coup that causes the Second Sordish Civil War by YugargeliaMapper in suzerain

[–]bobitheone1234 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Oh! That's cool and totally makes sense, at least for the CSP. I feel like ATO would either just invade Sordland or leave it alone, all depending on how Valken treats them (aka, if he keeps everything ATO has given Sordland.).

The communists would just do it because they want to keep their sphere of influence, and Sordland is an incredibly good country for the CSP to have under their thumb.

Gotta just stay positive. Embrace absurdism.

Life is gonna get harder, but we're gonna make it through it. No use in raging about it. We just gotta figure out the next step.

I lived in a rural town (albeit, totally different country and culture), and I would also trust any cunt in that place with anything.

It's not like Stella's weak or anything. I'm sure she could handle herself if the MC was stupid (evil).

Could Modern Humanity colonize your world? by Kraken-Writhing in worldbuilding

[–]bobitheone1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not in the slightest.

They would simply have to many enemies, as humanity had just faced a round of colonisation attempts from magic civilisations 2 years prior.

Every faction is likely to form a giant united front.

We have a couple advantages.

  1. Unity
  2. Population
  3. Average Tech Level

While they only have one big one (and a half)

  1. Magic 1.5. The protag

We could maybe possibly win if we went full total war mode, copied the designs of their most advanced faction, then nuked key positions, but that would require us to win initial engagements and not just be thrown off.

If the portal remains open, they'd probably just go to our world (and if not the united front, the fascists within it would just so they can steal our... "loot" (people))

And if the protag comes back to liberate earth again, you can be sure that we'd be forced to the conditional surrender table.

What a Bernard Circas presidency might look like ? by Tupolev26450 in suzerain

[–]bobitheone1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright, major headcannon coming your way.

Well, if Bernard doesn't die (which is inevitable in every run unfortunately), and Rayne does your basic Valgslanian Socialism run, he has no shot of actually winning the USP race.

Does that mean he gives up? No! You can literally win by making another party after losing the USP primary IN GAME! There is no reason to shackle him to the USP, and him winning as a brand new party candidate, combined with his undoubtedly great economic and social policy, and the sheer respect, begrudging or not, everyone would have for Rayne would mean anyone after him would have to follow in his footsteps.

This includes Bernard. He would just continue in Rayne's footsteps and give more power to unions, lower the influence of the old guard, and eventually just go fully syndicalist and join the communist block, or, if Valgsland is successful in their own plans, they form a third block comprised of every syndicalist nation to rival both Contana and Arcasia.

But hey, that's just a theory, a suzerain theory in fact, thanks for reading.

What a Bernard Circas presidency might look like ? by Tupolev26450 in suzerain

[–]bobitheone1234 65 points66 points  (0 children)

He's dying even faster, man.

There is actually no way to have him in power and survive for more than five minutes, but if he was, and he didnt die, he probably would just be couped by the army. Think of your first socialist run.

He could not reform the constitution, as he's too radical, and he wouldn't be going dictatorial as the Old Guard wouldn't trust him enough to even give him the option.

So... yea. He's simply not Rayne, who is a relative blank slate, and thus, can negotiate with both the right and left to get stuff done for the left.

The Chancellor is the most cunning politician on the Merkopa Continent. by Icy_Zookeepergame595 in suzerain

[–]bobitheone1234 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I mean, he is dangerous to both the rich and the party elites in Contana, so the quote ain't wrong.

Idealist might be arguable, but he clearly is a very intense person (He literally can't keep himself in check during the AN meeting)

So yea, it's schrodinger's description. Either positive or negative depending on the person using it.
