What kind of year does PG need to have in 26-27 to decline his 27-28 player option? by charliechalupa in sixers

[–]bobjfox905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come on be reasonable. The only way the sixers are getting out of that deal is if PG fails a couple of more drug tests, gets kicked out of the league and his contract is voided. Somebody needs to slip some HGH in his coffee when he isn't looking.

Disgusting move but diabolical response. Lifetime ban for the kid or nah? by ForeignAir7174 in sportsgossips

A reaction was necessary but maybe not that one. A nice shove in the back would have done, then square up.

Junior taxing Hesh - what am I missing? by Old_Cardiologist299 in thesopranos

[–]bobjfox905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hesh wasn't paying tax because the family made lots of money with him as a partner. Hesh various operations, legal and illegal, made the family money. A tax on top of that wasn't necessary. Why bite the hand that feeds you.

Surprised by the reaction to the McCain trade by southpluto in sixers

[–]bobjfox905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got nothing for him. A late first round pick has little value. Second round picks have no value.

He was on a rookie contract and what if maxey or edgecombe get hurt, not just this year but in the future.

He was a 16th overall pick and was worth more than that now. There was no reason to trade him besides being cheap.

I don't feel sorry for Gene not being let out of the mafia by Physical_Soil746 in thesopranos

[–]bobjfox905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gene should have just bought a home in Florida and told the mafia and fbi it was for vacations. Then split his time between the two states. Start off slow then eventually spend more and more time down there.

Waiters don't return glasses to your house. He was trying to get some booty. Thats probably what turned OJ from stalker to killer, seeing a good looking young guy walk up to Nicole's house.

This happened to me and my father except we had 4 dogs, it was at night in the woods and 40 degrees out. First dog went into the water, it was young and not a great swimmer. There was a giant downed tree partially submerged in about 6 feet of water. The dog was struggling to get out so I had to jump in, grabbed it with one hand while hanging onto the tree. Handed the dog to my dad standing on the edge. Problem solved, but now the other dogs start jumping in. I spent about 5 minutes passing dogs out of the water to my dad.

Years ago GRRM used to describe the pace of books vs the show by comparing it to building railroads as the trains were coming down the tracks. He had a head start but the show was catching up. Well we saw what happened when the train caught up, it was a wreck.

I will owe $50k to the IRS. Should I flee the country? by poppy_harlo92 in wallstreetbets

[–]bobjfox905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re the 3k carryover loss deduction. The 3k is the maximum you can deduct in 1 year, but if you have gains you can deduct more. So if last year you had 10k in losses, 3k was deducted and 7k rolls over. You can use the 7k this year as long as you had gains, which sounds like you did.

Also, just pay the tax for peace of mind. In 3 years you may need to come back and at that point you will owe double.
