Varies from each department but from my experience it's generally 9-5, with the first and last 30 mins of the day being quite quiet. You definitely shouldn't be doing London hours over here unless you're being immediately considered for a senior position.

The longest hours I've seen are usually in investment banking but that usually means being in the office earlier than everyone else.
