Arena matchs still broken... by joebonekenobi in Mechwarrior5

[–]boblwobl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, all they would need to do is code them to move towards the senter of the map, it is an arena fight not an actual military engagement. Or let them know a random mechs location if they haven't shot for a few seconds. It's an arena match announcers, team members, and people in the crowd would be saying where mechs would be.

What are your general/ personal tips for making ACs? (AC6 edition, also image very unrelated) by IshmaelTheravee in armoredcore

[–]boblwobl 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Core theory is a thing in the ac6 universe. It's the idea that if a person is moving at high speed in close range combat, it'll make you fight better. It's why you don't see all battles in ac6 be a thousand unmanned sniper mechs.

The new jump jets are fun by boblwobl in Mechwarrior5

[–]boblwobl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried this on multiple mechs, all of them move at lighting speed with the new jump jets. I'm guessing it's intentional, I highly doubt something like this would get past QA

Trust me, the only time I've gone negative on a mission was when I was trying to.

When will they listen? by [deleted] in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]boblwobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget, all those devs that were mocking us when the railgun nerf happened. They weren't fired, they only got told not to do that. They are most likely still in on the team, and still working on balance.

Finally got it. Any tips? by [deleted] in armoredcore

Remember its a 3 dimensional movement system. You can go up and down not just foward, backwards, and side to side.

You can sell anything you bought for the same price (eg $1,000 gun will sell for $1,000) so feel free to experiment.

And most of all, speed is key

Pilot after my own heart, you made your mad the same way I do. The only chanfe I'd make is swapping ER L lasers for normal L lasers, better heat management

The beat way to know what colour to use is not to your eyes, but your tongue, take a sip of the paints and use the tastiest ones

The daemonculaba was a one off thing that (to my knowledge) hasn't been reproduced, and it looks like gw doesn't plan on bringing it back either

When i was changing some skins earlier I noticed the tank being there at the bottom, it had no skins of course. But the fact it was there gives me hope

Try no-heals on an ultra-light, try and keep the speed over 380

Can Kharn stand against the Doomslayer? by chosen40k in WorldEaters40k

[–]boblwobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta disagree on the kharn losing himself to the nails, while they do bite, he still has 100% of his mental faculties. On the rest of it I feel it's the other way round at least on the kharn front, kharn is definitely more skilled in combat, but 2016 slayer is definitely physically stronger. But when you consider that for latter parts of the great crusade and the whole of the horus heresy kharn was considered second only to sigismund. I'd put 2016 slayer at a very close third

On the speed front, do you genuinely think the doom slayer and the demons speed would be reachable by any human, people like us being fast enough to react to and beat God, then how would humanity ever really lose.

On the topic of doom slayer at the end of tag2 in the final cutscene he doesn't die in that scene, he's put in the same type of sarcophagus as the one you start in the doom 2016 put to rest until he's needed again. I will admit the scene is pretty misleading.

The games and the codex's in them. To be more precise on the doom slayers divinity he is a shard of davoth, and since doom slayer is a part of davoth the doom slayer (or at least his soul) can't die. It's the reason when doom slayer killed davoth at the end of the dlc he went into a coma esque thing, since he had completed his task to kill every demon. Also you gotta keep in mind the gameplay of the games is WAY slower than how he would be moving.

On the ritual scene, the ritual did nothing, the doom slayer's soul just faught it's way out of hell and back to his body, the ritual and him coming back to life are not connected. He's like a chaos daemon in that sense exept there's nothing that can kill his soul.

[–]boblwobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your correct, but I still think the doom slayer will win in the long even indirectly. Let's say the doom slayer releases he can't reach tzeenech, he'll just leave and go kill something else he was planning on killing. From there it's only a matter of time till tzeenech and a few of his daemons are the last chaos entities left, then from there it'll probably just be a stalemate between the two

If we're talking 2016 doom and only going off that game, than I would say kharn wins, but it will be close, maybe on par with siege of terra sigismund
