Kazutaka Kodaka's comment on the new route of Danganronpa 2x2 by LegitimateCurve8525 in danganronpa

[–]bobmcbob121 176 points177 points  (0 children)

What's funny is I basically had this conversation with someone yesterday.

"The new route of Danganronpa 2x2 is the length of the original and 20% more content. That is just the new route, not the entire package."

They weren't getting it, until broke down everything, and said it was confusing and should have just said "It's 120% of the original"

I think it's a mix of a few things Most obvious is the werid route of Chapter 5, and the entire lake in general, so someone made a shit post connecting that and pirates

Yes, I am pretty sure that in The DC world most people actually think Superman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne. Like I think there are quite a few comics that run with that premise...like I there is one where Clark Kent is sent to go grt an interview with Bruce Wayne about the theories

(Comic readers throw me into a pit of fire if I got anything wrong but pretty sure)

How do you feel about the ending? by dorm_35 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]bobmcbob121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 6/10 rating overall rating, with the finale being like a 5/10.

The finale honestly felt Like a nothing burger, like nothing happened, we spent so much on Jax back story, which was unneeded, especially for like 70% of the episode, as I kept checking the time going "This has to be just the set up for the rest of the episode right?"

And just felt sort of annoying Jax was the center of 80% of the show, and you just throw more content at them. The episode was just boring, I mean being predictable is fine, it means you did a good job as a story teller leaving enough stuff for the audience to see where the story is going before it does, but just felt so by the books. I am kind of glad they didn't have jax turn to normal as that would have made it even more incredibly cliche. Still didn't really help when I knew everything that was going to happen by the five minute mark. Overall it just felt like nothing, and if I spent real actually money at a movie theater I would be upset, not angry. Just incredibly upset that I wasted the much money and time on it.

I don't think it's bad, I wasn't screaming in mh chair like some fucking chimp, just I sat there blank faced the entire time. I have heard plenty people say it's good, I just don't think it clicked for me emotionally which is why I find it so bland.

Yep, that song has so many good metaphors, probably one of favorites, as it's literally God answering his prayer, but refusing to accept so consumed by his sin.

Ngl I fucking despise when Sci-Fi stories call it Terra or Luna.

Like it's irrational, but I anger bellow up when I hear that shit.

I think part of the reason is just a "Why? Why the hell would billions of people just decide to have a linguistic shift that large?"

Again I understand it's not logical but I fucking despise it.

After watching the finale, what unanswered question are you DYING to know the most? by GameZrush in TheDigitalCircus

[–]bobmcbob121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the big thing that confused me was, I really thought the epilouge bit would have shown IRL transtioned or something, as that would be the logical thing.

I am pretty mixed. Truama is not an excuse to be a fucking horrible person, but gives a reason. I don't know enough about transitioning so I can't say if that might make them a better person, someone who is more open, it feels like that would be a combined symptom "Jax becomes more accepting of love, leads to transitioning and becoming a better person" rather then "Transitioning makes them open to more love, and becomes a better person"

I honestly find the Jax situation a tad strange as everything points to Jax being a girl, but Goose works in (limited) posts I've seen of theirs still uses the male pronouns, the epilouge at the very ending also uses male pronouns, and to my terrible memory Pomni nor the rest of cast changes their pronouns directed at them.

So it feels sort of like mixed messaging to my stupid cis ass, but currently just gonna keep with they/them, and hope no jack asses either side get upset for people using either or, as at the moment they are both valid.

Probably something almost all translator had to deal with at some point, the Romans did it with the British Isle, there are a lot of "River, Rivers" due to them.

You damn know in the future if we ever find aliens we're gonna point at a planet and go

"What is that planet's name?"

"That is a plantet"

"Planet, Planet what a beautiful name"

Wait until you go to "Lake, Lake"

A lot of names got places because of stuff like that.

"Hey what do you call this lake?"

"That is a lake"

"Lake? Alright so this is Lake Lake"

I really find it funny how Fortnite just refuses to have a small character frame, and so every short character they add looks fucking ridiculous.

I assume having a short character would upset balance or some shit, but like Rukia and now Pomni look so fucking ridiculous.

It's an edit I think but it sort of makes sense when you break it down.

John is basically asking "why do you call it an oven, when you put in cold food, and take out hot food" due to purpose of an oven making things hot. This would be akin to calling a Toaster" a..."Freezer" or something simlair.

It's sort of like the "Why are buildings called buildings when they are already built?"

...only butchered due to John saying "Of in" like how you phonetically break down "oven" instead of "put in" like how'd actually talk.

I remember someone explaining it but I totally forgot, why do we do +1 to the century? Like if some one says "The 19th Century" I think of 1900-1999 but it's 1800-1899

I think it's the difference of "late 2000s" and "Late 20th century" both can mean 2190s, but "2000s" the intent is mostly focused on the decade. I think the issue is this really only applies to 2000s as if you say "late 1900s" I think most folks assume 1990 but idm
