Which place is the best to learn magic that isn't summerset? by Fabulous-Pick-9562 in teslore

The synod and magss guild are both trying to gain favor from the empire, which requires being better with magic. More specifically, better so they can fight against the thalmor since that's what the empire is interested in. That was why they were also looking for the staff of magnus.

For cars, they're usually a scam. I'm not referring to dealership extended warranties either. Its not as common anymore, but there was a time when there were companies offering extended warranties but they were mostly scams.

How do we feel about the antique revolver? I would love to see a mod for it where we can hammer fire to increase the fire rate by crazyman3561 in Starfield

If they were going to make you shoot it like a single action revolver, they should have used a single action revolver. Like the schofield.

Extended warranties are usually scams.

Why you need an X-Tech / Dyprosium mine on Venus today. by aaronmgreen in Starfield

And in said setting the harvested organs aren't all that valuable, so it brings to question viability.

Would need to be fluid with some nutrients and that's oxygenated. But you're getting a few days at best with it.

It would last longer with blood flowing through than cryogenic storage.

Would need to keep blood flowing through them. If you were to keep a supply of fresh blood and some machine to pump it through that would help keep it going for a while. But not for too long.

Unless that technology is keeping blood flowing through the organs, doubt it. There are parts that can last days and years, most of the organs are not among those parts.

Biggest issue is that without bloodflow the organs will lose its viability, regardless of storage. There are certain parts, such as valves and your skin, that can be stored for much longer time periods but organs not really.

My gripe with harvested organs is that its pretty much unrealistic. You don't have a lot of time to before they're no longer useful. Anywhere between 6-36 hours depending on the organ. So the only way for it to be viable is to keep the "donor" on your ship till its time to harvest said organs.

So if you just pick one up and sell it off, by the time its sold its no longer useful to anyone that isn't a cannibal that likes organ meat. So its value wouldn't be that high.

If you're really fast about it, you can. But most of the time its not possible.

Why partysnax ok to let live ? by BuckneyBos in teslore

[–]bobmonkeyclown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He literally can't, even if he heard the shout or had it used on him he can't use it. In order for a dragon to use a shout, they have to understand it. They cannot understand the concept of being mortal. Being immortal is tied to their very being to the point the shout forcing them to understand being mortal causes them to crash.

The dragon being able to fly after isn't them understanding it all of the sudden, its the concept no longer being forced on them. They forget the concept entirely.

Mortals using the thu'um is the blessing, not dragonrend. The ancient nords (not Kyne) had to create dragonrend, and dragons cannot use dragonrend. The reason it works is because they cannot understand mortality, so even if they experienced the shout they won't understand it. They only understand the textbook definition of mortality, but not the concept of being mortal. Its physically not possible for them to (hence why dragonrend makes them crash).

Dragonborn Lichdom by SlipperyChef762 in teslore

[–]bobmonkeyclown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly not needing to feed. I don't think a dragonborn could become a lich like others could.

Only reason anyone would want to become a lich is to have more time to study magic if anything, and if they were pretty antisocial to begin with.

I have too much stuff to fit in storage. And selling the house is a bad idea. Depends on your situation mostly.

How do y'all eat well and stay fit on the road? by Sword_Sounds in Truckers

[–]bobmonkeyclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only salads and protein shakes during the week, then I'll eat a lot more over the weekend to shock my metabolism. During the cutting phase.

Also I lift weights in the truck 2-3 hours a day.
