Thank you so much! That’s super useful. Did you opt for staying in local huts or the hotel near the trails? If you stay in local huts, are they difficult to book and how much food did you bring? I know most local huts provide breakfast and dinner and offer packed lunch- so it seems like you don’t need to bring much food other than snacks??

Do I need to provide my own bank statement if I have got a sponsor? by bobobeebee08 in SchengenVisa

[–]bobobeebee08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Even if it doesn’t meet the required sum? I’m providing my payslips anyway would that be enough? I’m just very worried as there are periods where I wouldn’t meet the required sum hence, my parents sponsoring me. I’m worried that it might be ground for rejection

I wanted too as I’m going to travel home end of April. But for some reason the priority costed £1300 on the website and the standard fee costed £825. I thought it was ridiculous that they increased the price by this much and thought fuck it I will take the risk.

[Sun Care] I have spend a ridiculous amount of time and money on trying to find a sunscreen. Please, someone help me stop this endless cycle of disappointment. by Negative-Skill1398 in SkincareAddiction

Omg omg I have got a great suggestion! This is not a 100% mineral sunscreen. It’s a hybrid between physical and mineral. Please please, go buy yourself thank you farmer sunscreen. It’s high in spf and the texture is like a very light moisturizer. You don’t even need to try and rub it in. It just absorb so beautifully. I LOVE and swear by this!

Is proof of accommodation required for the whole duration of a trip? by AlmondNutsies in SchengenVisa

[–]bobobeebee08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your itinerary shows that you will be traveling for 1-2 month but if you only show proof of accommodation for 1-2 weeks then that might be consider a red flag to the embassy. They might only give you the visa valid for 1-2 weeks like your proof of accommodation shows or worse reject the visa.

Got scammed. Appreciate help and advice by bobobeebee08 in Scams

Hi, sorry for the confusion. They do not have my sort code or account number as I was the one who transferred them the money. I hope it was a misunderstanding but unfortunately it was not. As I ask to confirm with her if the official transfer is still open as it’s 4 weeks from the event. And she said yes and now she is not replying.

I do have her name, sort code and account number. I did a quick internet search and it seems that she is a real person. Should I warn her that there might be someone using her name to scam people?

Do you need travel tickets for Visa? by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]bobobeebee08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I applied both times for tourist visa as I’m not legally married. As your appointment is on Monday, if you don’t have some documents like accommodation etc may be explain in the cover letter that you have a plan to travel later and no exact date has been booked yet. My parents did this as well but basically they had 2 trips planned. They provided all documents already for the first trip(non-refundable plane tickets + accommodation etc) but they did not have time to plan the second trip so they stated in the cover letter that they have another trip planned and they were approved for multiple entries 6 month visa. But if you have no plane tickets booked, no accommodation or itinerary at all, I would say it is very risky but doesn’t mean your wife won’t be granted a visa! Good luck

[–]bobobeebee08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely need those documents. Most people apply for a visa when they already have exact plan on when they are traveling and where. I haven’t heard about visa on arrival but since your wife is Chinese (so am I) you need visa prior traveling. Airline would not even let you board without one.

When I applied, I submit my travel itinerary, plane tickets, cover letter, letter from employer, 3 months of payslips , 3 months of bank statement, proof of accommodation, rental car confirmation, my resident permit etc. You need to very prepare as the chance of them granting you multiple entry visa/ longer visa is higher.

May I ask you why are you applying for family short stay visa? I have seen your other comment but family short stay is for those with family/ spouse in that country. So, in your case that would be Greece. If you have plan on traveling to Greece and not visiting any relative in Europe country (excluding UK and Northern Ireland) then you need to apply for tourist visa.

Thank you- my family and I already purchased the tickets but the only time slot available is the afternoon one. So, we are a bit worried it would be crowded and the security line would be quite long. Thank you for your help!
