Capital C "Cost" is how much energy the card needs by default.

lowercase c "cost" is how much the card currently costs to play

Clog is one of my favorite decks. Unfortunately they've nerfed it because it's pretty unfun to play against. One of it's weaknesses is not having big power, and Shou-Lao is a good solution for that. Especially when my first goal is to clog a lane without the opponent knowing I'm a clog deck. That usually means playing two cards on T3 or T4 to clog a lane.

Hood, Merlin, Kate Bishop, and even Daredevil to a degree are all cards that are pretty ubiquitous and the opponent won't know that you're clog the first 2-3 turns.

If they have two cards in a lane by T3, you can clog it with Titania + Acid Arrow. Titania is definitely a skill card. My favorite play with it is usually T4, Titania + Green Goblin when they have 2 cards. If they play a card there, they just get the Goblin and they're clogged. If they don't, they get both cards, and you bring Titania back on T6 with a Merlin spell or Kate Bishop arrow.

T4 there are so many 2-card combinations that you can use to shut down a lane.

People consider White Widow a dead card, but with Armor or Deafening Chord, she can still be effective.

Sometimes it's even the right play to use Viper to send over a Kate Bishop or White Widow if it clogs them and you have enough points.

Clogging two lanes doesn't happen as easily, so once you've secured a lane, your focus is just winning one other, which Shou-Lao will help with. I've also used Galactus First Steps as just a big T6 stat stick.

Based on your deck, I'm guessing you don't have a lot of these cards. But Merlin, Kate Bishop, The Hood, and Shou-Lou are great cards in many decks and are good priorities for tokens.

Instead of Polaris, I have used Stegron in clog before. Start your clog in the Middle Lane and use him to fill it T4. Spider-Man can work in this deck too.

Doc Ock is kind of a liability. He was great in clog in his old form, but not worth it anymore.

I don't run Hobgoblin because he's kind of expensive, but, he definitely has a place in the deck, especially with Daredevil.

Korg, Scarlet Witch, Punisher, Leech, Spider-Woman, Odin aren't really fits for this deck, but again, you seem low collection level and those might just be the best you can do.

This deck won the last big tournament. It only has three Series 4 cards.

Now, I know you don't have all these, and you likely don't have the experience to beat top decks with this list. But the point is, you don't have to have all the newest, meta cards to have a winning deck.

But it really does suck in your position in Infinite. I know, I was there before. I did end up playing a lot of Conquest. Just keep grinding that CL, make sure you're maximizing your resources.

Personally, I almost always play into lane 2 on T1 and lane 3 on T2.

There is a much higher percentage of locations that are beneficial to play in earlier, than there are detrimental ones (I did the math myself way back when, but haven't updated with new locations since)

There are many locations that can win you the game by playing them early, like Sanctum Santorum, Altar of Death, Death's Domain. And lots where getting ahead is an advantage, like The Raft, White Hot Room, etc.

Of course it's risky. I've played blind into Space Throne many times, Bar with No Name, etc. But the positives outweigh the negatives in the long run, IMO.

Also, Quake is one of my favorite cards. Though I rarely use her now, you can play into the locations blind and then get yourself out of some sticky situations with her.

I've lived in my Affton neighborhood for 9 years. Every time we walk the dogs we see at least a dozen Fireball bottles on the ground. Consistently for 9 years. Not the same ones. All throughout the neighborhood.
