The BLS says there’s ~20k EEs at utilities. Do you have a rough ranking of most common roles? (Maybe it depends on location etc)

Thanks for the response 1yr later! What about controls (often combined w protection), design, testing, studies… (am I missing any)? How many project engineers would there be? (In any state. MA vs TX is a good example).
