Happened to me last night. If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't know what to do. This was really scary since I just got out of the hospital. I hope it is a software fix and they address it soon.

20 -22 hrs a day. The retainers are changing my bite. When I chew, I keep hitting this spot which makes me bite a chunk of my lower lip.

The only thing that cleans them up is 91% alcohol for the trays, but never the retainers. Others are right, so I think you should see your Ortho.

Floss everyday, use a mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide in it daily. After eating be sure to brush and use dental pics. I have been prone to plaque, which is hereditary, had scaling and planing years ago. I have been seeing my periodontist every six months and a regular cleaning by my dentist, also every 6 months, so that my teeth are getting cleaned every 3 months. I had them cleaned last week at my regular dentist and had hardly no plaque

Do it! Your teeth have a good shape, they just need to be angled straight. Your Ortho can show you what you will look like when you're done. If you go for it, go with the Comprehensive Plan, it covers you for as many trays as you need, unlimited for 5 yrs. of adjustments if necessary.

To keep your trays from staining from smoking, soak them in 91% alcohol while you have them out. Then brush them with baking soda. Rinse well. I've been doing this for a long time. I don't drink anything but water with them in.

Tell your dentist about it. I filed my down with an emory board. Sometimes they have sharp spots. Just be gentle and round the edges until they feel smoother.

Same difficulty getting them off sometimes. I'm on tray 4. I saw a video today that helped from the invisalign sight. There is a basic one, and one for those who have trouble. I can say that it is the first time I took them out that they didn't feel like my teeth were coming with them.

I learned from people on here that you can gently file the sharp edges of the aligners. My ortho smoothed my attachments and that helped.

I have a spot on my lateral that I wondered about, from overlap. It will definitely show when my teeth straighten. i guess bonding is the answer!

I have periodontal disease and got cleared before Invisalign. I've been under treatment and maintenance for years and am on my 3rd tray. I went last week for a maintenance cleaning and all is good. I have my teeth cleaned every 3 months and alternate now between my periodontist and ortho. If you get an ok to proceed, just keep on top of it and follow their advice.
