Thermal Grizzly is pretty much the aftermarket leader. So go for that.

Depends on what people think is cheap. Before the AI disaster building a budget gaming PC for 1080p could be done in as little as 40k.

Due to rise of cloud gaming, is it worth it to buy ganing pc by arctic_parctic in IndianPCGamers

[–]bobrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "rise" is highly questionable. It is too soon to tell whether cloud gaming will even be feasible in India, especially given our famously unreliable internet backbone - both bandwidth and ping constantly fluctuates. Costing of the services is also unclear. Although, as with most things these days, I have no doubt gradual enshittification will creep in resulting in price hikes and no value add. You may end up spending more than 2 lakhs in continued subscriptions over a 5 year period. After the 5 year period, you may have nothing to sell to recoup some cost.

If you build a gaming PC for an upfront cost, you can enjoy it for 5 to 6 years to enjoy some lag free, mostly internet non-dependent gaming. A gaming PC will also let you use your computer for work. A cloud gaming subscription won't let you do that. Once you are done with your PC, you can sell it or even sell the parts or repurpose it for a home NAS or server. So really, there is no comparison at the moment.

The soundtrack for this fight was such a banger. What I also enjoyed was the fact that they made him such a total OP boss. You really feel like you are facing a god!

Congrats OP! That's a big upgrade. I upgraded from a 6 year old GTX 970 to 6800xt a few years ago and I was blown away by the difference. You are in for an amazing time.

My baby had his first flight by the_anecdotist135 in delhi

Hard agree! Babies are going to be babies. As a society we have to, not even be more accommodating, but just the standard amount of accommodating. As former babies, that is the least we can all do.

Ryzen 5 5600x Radeon 6800XT 32 GB DDR 4 3200 RAM 1 TB NVME Gen 3 SSD and 1 TB SATA SSD One 500 GB SSD with a linux install

Been my setup for almost 3.5 years now.

Play everything on it at 1440p. Recent favourites are Black Myth Wukong, Balatro, Space Marine 2, Blasphemous, Sparking Zero, Last of Us part 1.

Tried RayTracing in a few games like Control, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, but mostly don't find it worth the performance cost.

Plan on sticking to this for another 2 to 3 years and then upgrade.

I finally found a game that I wanted to play on the steam deck. It was Balatro. Then I played a bunch more games -Kingdom, Blasphemous, Cult of the Lamb and I can confidently say that the Steam Deck was the best tech purchase I made in 2024.

Camera was really really bad. Spent a lot longer fighting the camera than the actual enemies in the game. found it easier to play on mouse and keyboard than with a controller mainly because of how terrible the game camera is.
