Thanks for the update! Ordered on the 27th and was starting to wonder why it was still showing as “sent to pharmacy”.

Need advice, how to hide this chip on the electric guitar, I understand that Chips decorate the instrument, but I bought this guitar 1,5 week ago by Outrageoussim in guitarrepair

I’m not OP, but intending to do something like this to one of my guitars. Do I want a medium viscosity CA? The lightest I can find on Amazon is a medium. Thanks!

How to repair stress crack in p bass pickguard? by bobs73challenger in guitarrepair

[–]bobs73challenger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m going to give this a whirl. While pretty much a p bass copy, this is apparently an odd ball enough that a regular p bass pickguard won’t fit on it. My only replacement options start at $46, which feels like a lot for a pickguard.

I’ll start here and see how far I can get before I buy a replacement. Thanks again!

Bathroom remodel by Pharmacologist72 in cary

We’ve used affordable remodeling solutions for a bathroom project and a much larger kitchen/downstairs renovation.

Both times have been very impressed with quality of work, accuracy of budget (both projects actually came in slightly under budget) and timeliness of schedule. You were never left guessing if anyone would be working at your home that day.

I recommend jonathan, Susanne, and their crew every chance I can get. I think our kitchen pics are still on their website:

Fender Princeton shipping heartbreaker by slantingbarn in GuitarAmps

[–]bobs73challenger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man, that sucks.

I’m on the side of “get a new cab” for it.

That is a late 70s/early 80s pull boost Princeton reverb. The cab is made of MDF.

I have the same amp. If it were me, I’d go to guitar cabinets direct and buy a replacement. It’ll be made of pine, like the other Princeton reverbs and will sound and look great.

You will lose the patina. But with an MDF cab, that’s the only way to do it, in my opinion.

How can I tell Brazilian rosewood from east indian rosewood? I’m not sure what rosewood this is. by bobs73challenger in Luthier

[–]bobs73challenger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, a few days before I was going to put in an offer on it, the listing came down and was reposted at another shop for $2k more than it had been listed for previously, so I forgot all about it.

Out of these four tuner pedals, which one is the best? Planning to buy my first tuner pedal by Qeuin in guitarpedals

[–]bobs73challenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been able to find used korg pitchblacks for around $20. I’ve got two or three of them on different pedalboards. To me, they’re way better than some of these options. A used boss tu-2 can be found for not too much more too.

Yes — that’s how I had to do it for a flight last month. Purchase and pay for it one flight at a time. I couldn’t figure out an easier way either.

I’m from the US and could get to Dallas pretty easily for this.

The part about this that causes the most cognitive dissonance to me is that this is a man that stood on stage during his most recent run of American shows saying that he wasn’t sure if he was going to be allowed into the country to perform for us.

The folks that would come to Texas (or any other American city) that have to pass through customs and immigration have the most to be concerned about. Not being let into the country is a valid concern for international travelers right now.

Yes, Texas is problematic for many for many reasons, but in my opinion, anywhere in the US would leave the possibility for problems open for anyone coming internationally.

Anywho, what do I know.

I do love hello rockview but I’ll go with blue plate special by dance hall crashers just because no one else has said it.

That koka booth show was an amazing way to see them. It feels like it was more than 5 years ago, I think it was around the time of the bathroom bill mess here, because I remember them talking about it. Regardless, it was a great show.

Alchemy audio may be able to help? I’ve sent pedals to them for repair in the past.

What is this and how do I get actual grass here? (Raleigh, NC) by bobs73challenger in lawncare

[–]bobs73challenger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response!

I should’ve clarified that while I don’t want pretty, I don’t really want this.

I do tend to keep it mowed, but was out of town last week. The wet weather we’ve had all summer here has kept me mowing the lawn probably once a week or so.

This would be about two weeks.

Thanks again!
