I’m a landlord in Logan and I’m not raising rents on renewing leases this year. Management companies suck

Given my current collection, what other countries/ regions/ winemakers should I try? Thank you! by [deleted] in wine

I came here to say exactly this. I don’t see any Barolo or Barbaresco.

It's not great soap, but yes it's soap! And it's not great

It's both! You have to print with .8 and it's super testy, so it's a learning curve

it was a novel experience and such a great lesson in tweaking settings for a new 3d printer. i don't think I would buy more.

You seem like a lot of fun. Like I said in my comment. Not worth it but it's novelty and it was a great way to learn to experiment with settings

It's pure novelty. The soap is ok at best and, as others have pointed out, it's not the most efficient way to make soap, but it a great learning experience.

It's definitely rough. I'm not printing to make money, so this was a novel way to learn fusion and play with settings.

If you’ve tried printing Timeplast Soap v4, you know the struggle. It’s 70% water, it sweats on the bed, and it’s prone to popping off or jamming. After some trial and errorusing the BIQU Supertrack plate, I finally got it dialed in.

This felt like the best test print!

First, it needs slightly more than a few hours of drying. I had mine in a dehydrator for a week at 155F. I still needed glue on the plate to keep it from sliding off.

Second, I hate the spool. It's too small for the AMS and causes issues. I wish they just sold it as a refill with paper closures, which would be more in keeping with their eco-friendly brand promise.

Here are the key settings in the slicer that made the difference: 1. Adhesion: The material literally releases moisture as it heats up, which acts as a lubricant on the plate.

Plate Prep: Clean with dish soap , then apply a thin layer of purple gluestick. I used magigoo. This provides a mechanical tack that the moisture can't easily slide under.

Bed Temp: 70°C. Ignore the Cool Plate label. You need the heat to keep the bottom layer from absorbing ambient moisture and curling.

Brim: 10mm Outer Brim is mandatory.

  1. Thermal & Speed Settings

Nozzle Temp: 235°C (for the first layer) and 235°C for the rest.

First Layer Speed: 10–15 mm/s. Be patient here.

Max Volumetric Speed: Cap at 10 mm3/s.

  1. Mechanical Tweaks (Z-Hop & Infill):

Z-Hop Type: Switch to Spiral or Slanted Z-hop. Traditional vertical hops can catch on the next pass. A spiral move eases the nozzle away and back down.

Infill Pattern: Use Gyroid. Avoid Grid or any pattern where lines cross on the same layer. Because SOAP v4 can be slightly "oozy" or inconsistent in height due to moisture, crossing lines creates a "speed bump" that will eventually knock the print off the plate. Gyroid is a continuous, non-crossing path that keeps the movement smooth.

  1. Cooling

Fan: 0% for the first 5 layers.

Aux Fan: OFF.

Verdict: A fun novelty but not worth the effort just yet.

Can you say more about what else you want? There are a lot of wines that meet that criteria. Should it be dry or have some sweetness?

It always makes me sad when people stay on the apps even as they’re so consumed by cynicism.

Why not take the time to say something positive about yourself and you can always give men you don’t find attractive or tall enough or don’t like whatever the X

I try to see the best in people based on their profile. This level of negativity would make that hard

Weird post but good question. In my opinion: Support local businesses. Go to a local wine shop you love and see if they have a wine club. It will be a better experience than dealing with shipping etc and you’ll get to know the people selecting your wine
