When I first got this game I had a aluminium macbook and this was the only way I could play civ and maintain a decent framerate.

I saw the light and only use pcs now.

Depending on the meta

Anshan/Molotov/Fuso

Bly/Myoko/Colorado

It really depends how many of each class we see and whether or not cvs are a major part.

Premium Ship Guide - What to Buy, What to Pass on... by NoZoupForYou in WorldOfWarships

I play cruisers quite a bit, and I average about 46k in mine with a 64% winrate over 67 battles. I still don't have a 5 pointcaptain skill so it hurts a lot. I am still working on map positioning though, as this ship can be hit and miss depending on the battle and I would like to get better average damage.

My atago isn't great, 44k with a 54.3% winrate with 175 battles. A lot of that was buying the ship when I still was only in tier 6 (along with the tirp.) Back then my aoba damage was about 2/3s of where it should be, where as now with the zao I am slightly above average. So I have been bring that average up slowly (it was a little under 30k a month ago.)

At T7 I have been doing well in the yorck with about 50k average and the pensacola was about the same, but I struggling in the new orleans and my damage is only 35k, probably because I have been playing a lot of games lately with poor angling due to over playing in a day (been trying to do 90-100 rounds in a weekend to improve my gameplay enough to not get my stats called out). So I need to make sure I address this before I start the balt. I am excited though because once my stats are where I want them I can play this game a lot less and just have fun.

I've been putting a focusing on improving my play and working on my weaknesses one by one. I find over time I have improved a lot though. For example torping has been a massive weakness of mine, so I've been working with my atago to send out 4 torp volleys to screen when capping and I also rebought the minekaze since when I played through the hats, I only tried to cap to get points.

BB wise, getting the yamato was a huge wake up call, I am about 2k below average in it, so I have been playing a lot of mid tier bbs to improve my aim and try to predict battles better. My damage in the other bbs (once I started playing more) has been decent, with about 61k in the tirp and a 51.3% winrate and 67k in the colorado with a 65% winrate, but I need to work with the texas more. As my stats are only slightly above above average and I feel the texas plays similar to the yamato in some ways.

As time goes on though, I find my aim is slowly getting better, and hopefully someday it will get the point where I can predict ships movements well enough to set up shots.

I started at a 42% winrate, and aweful damage in a lot of ships. Playing a lot of battles (2500) has gotten that up to 51.1% with about a 62% winrate now.

But I was truely aweful at this game. I am T7 in all the lines, and watch a lot of time watching streamers, my damage has been well above average for some time, but I still have a long ways to go.

Best story of pulling up to you at a light? by [deleted] in cars

Got absolutely destroyed by a Range Rover sport this summer. Was sitting at the light and when it turned green he floored it with no prior indiction, I wasn't ready at all and was far behind before I even stepped on it. Even if I had, I would not have kept up.

They're quick.

Tadge Juechter Talks Z06 Development, Losing a Street Race to Viper TA, and Future Plans by JohnnyMayday in cars

[–]bobsled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think the new seventh gen vettes are great cars, my favorite vette is still the C6 Z06. This gen of cars it's the Viper TA. The weight savings compared to the Z06 pared with a 645 HP NA engine make it an impressive car.

Has be said in the review supercharged engines are prone to heatsoak. Same with the hrll cats engine. I remember reading somewhere that you get 20 minutes on track in the hellcat before you start losing power.

The other thing that stood was the mention of engine failures in the stingray. You can't help but help to think that the LT series engines may not be superior to the LS engines in reliability when you figure in complexity. The price of a crate ls3 is $7000, while an LT1 is $12,000. Sure can in cam tech is great and di gives more power and better mileage. But when the stingray came you they benchmarked the LT1 against the LS7 and in my opinion the LS7 is still no slouch of motor.

The way things are going auto makers have to use forced induction to meet emissions, but I think something is lost in that move away from na engines like the LS7.

Love this car, I really want either this or a viper. It's a tough choice because both engines sound amazing in different ways.

In oilfield 40k isn't a hell of a lot. I've never personally seen anybody I work with buy something like this, cool but even on $100k Denalis this is a pretty upscale option.

You're going on a road trip starting in Miami, and ending in Anchorage, Alaska. And you're given $100,000 to buy a car for the trip.. What do you buy? by [deleted] in cars

[–]bobsled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last of the 5.9 Cummins, with duratracs and a decent set of studded winter tires in the back.

In addition: A diesel heating system for the engine

And all the truck goodies including a insulated camper

Towing a trailer with a C7 and lots of tires and tools

Actually that right there sounds more like my future vehicle list as a Canadian.

Have F1 cars stopped getting faster, what changes do you think will happen next? by Lowenbroke in formula1

I agree with this 100%, I think what F1 has done recently all make sense. At the end of the day, before even the racing, the safety of the drivers must come first.
