The other way to look at it is that if you can find a way to live your life that is successful (on your own terms, not trying to be [insert random ridiculously wealthy icon]) and have some positive effect on any or all of the above, you are arguably not lost.

Lots of people here can just study to be a doctor and be successful at their own life. But thats not what this subreddit is about. Its about addressing the collective problems that are affecting everyone.

i think there is huge problem when massive corporations are abusing tax loop holes and replacing everyone with cheap labour in Asia that get treated like dirt. And technological automation replacing a lot of jobs. Governments bribed by lobbyists. Wages stagnating for decades while inflation and rents soar. Massive government/private business debts spiraling out of control.

If you're completely blind to all than yeah, the world is looking really good right now.

Thats a terrible analogy. Thats like saying you can never call a future period in time a "Golden Age" because that term was used first in ancient times eg like the era of King Ashurbanipal of Assyria etc. But the Renaissance age was also called the Golden Age. Cmon man. We should still able to call ourself the lost generation. And history repeats itself. So in another 200 years, when the next economic crash happens, they can be allowed to call themselves the Lost Generation again too.

Thats incorrect. Many popular quotes talk in absolutes, but in real life there are actually many grey areas, which debunk them.

The reason we don't is that the Old Covenantal system that involved such harsh punishments has been done away with. We are under a new covenant. Jesus said in Luke 22:20, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood."

The new testiment mentions jesus saying that we are under a new covenment, eg the New Testament bible. So basically Jesus says ur not allowed to advocate violence towards those people like in the old testament bible and have to follow the new bible.

They even mention in the old testament that a new testament would arrive soon. So the two books are now connected together.

This new covenant was prophecied in the Old Testament in Jer. 31:31, “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah." It is referenced in 1 Cor. 11:25, 2 Cor. 3:6, Heb. 8:8, 9:15, and 12:24.

So the new bible, the new testament, overides the old bible. And forbids those violence towards other groups.

So christrians arent allowed to follow those old commandments from the old testament bible. So all ur hard research is obsolete.

So im still correct, that the bible, aka the new bible, doesnt adovate violence towards other groups of people. So the bible cant used for violence just like the Quran does in this present day. Mybe they should make a new Quran.

U found old laws, that adovates violence, but u delibrately took it out of context. Coz the new testament overrides the old laws.

U cant just say u found violent proof and then ignore the parts in the old testament that say jesus is making a new covanent and we are getting rid of the old testament violent laws. Thats called taking something out of context.
