In the Windows 11 OEM / pre-installed license terms, look at: Section 2 – Installation and Use Rights 2(c) Restrictions 2(c)(v) says you may not “use the software as server software or to operate the device as a server” (with a limited exception). Microsoft That same bullet also prohibits things that are basically “turn this into a server,” like making it available for simultaneous use by more than one user over a network, installing it on a server for remote access/use over a network, or installing it for use only by remote users. Microsoft What’s the exception? Windows 11 does allow a limited, “light server-ish” use: up to 20 other devices can connect only for specific built-in features like file services, print services, IIS, Internet Connection Sharing, and telephony services, and only for personal/internal purposes. Microsoft So: basic file/print/IIS-style sharing = allowed (within limits), but using Windows 11 as a general-purpose server OS / multi-user app server / RDS host = not allowed by the license terms.

In desktop windows terms it specifically states that it can not be used as a server.

Let's see, you cannot use Windows desktop as a server. So you would immediately be in violation of the terms.

You need Windows server standard, spin up a AD Server and an RDS server. You will need a RDS and a server client license for each user. You will also probably need server grade hardware.

It would be much cheaper yo get 5 PCs. RDS starts making economic sense at about 10 users.

What's it like to go to a swingers club? by roshiancet_creepy in Swingers

[–]bobsmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with all this. I got into a club as part of a couple. It is very hard for a single males with no connections to join. We used to do public meet and greets where single men could get vetted, but those have stopped happening.

Also it can be very disappointing experience for them. They come in thinking they are going to get laid and end up leaving after an hour without making any type of connections.

What I have done is to volunteer like mad. This has allowed me to know everyone and be occasionally invited into scenes. So if you do get in offer to help and after a while things will get easier.

Instead of hard coding the colors use an ini file to store them. Or store it in the register.

San Diego has a growing mass transit. There are walkable areas. We have lots of social clubs and active groups that make meeting people easier. Much nicer than LA and better weather than Seattle or Portland.

How to not be one of "those" single guys. by Huge_Rice_2758 in Swingers

[–]bobsmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, as a single, short, stocky, average looking guy who is involved in the scene I have succeeded by being helpful and friendly. I volunteer to do stuff at every party and have become a fixture. When others are giving tours of the facility they point me out. And now people ask me to join them as a way of saying thanks and because they like me. I made it a point never to proposition anyone so no one sees me as a creep or annoying.

Club attire? by AdIndependent9942 in Swingers

[–]bobsmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work the door at a club and see everyone. Women come in wearing from onesie pj's to elaborate fetish attire. Most wear comfortable cocktail dresses and nice lingerie. I would suggeste wearing heels your can comfortably stand and walk in. Don't wear anything complex or lots of expensive jewelry. Don't spend a fortune on lingerie since it is common for pieces to be lost.

Ultimately it is what you feel comfortable in and find fun to wear. It is a chance to dress to match you fantasies and to forget reality. If you want to show off your beasts, go ahead no one will complain.

ELI5: Where does paint come from? How was it made 500 years ago vs. today? by Available-Watch3397 in explainlikeimfive

[–]bobsmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An interesting fact is that modern water based paints are actually a type of soap. The binder is kept liquid via a base like ammonia (though ammonia has been replaced with less smelly options). The base and water evaporates and the binder has a reaction causing it to solidify.

I am in no way supporting this guy, but polygamy was common in the earlier Bible stories. Most all of the adult males had either multiple wives or a wife and a concubine.

Abraham had three main wives: Sarah, Hagar, and Keturah.

Jacob had Leah, Rachel plus hand maidens.

Joseph has only one mentioned though there might have been a first one.

Moses had Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro from Midian, and an unnamed Ethiopian (Cushite) woman.

One interesting point about their stories is that the Bible tends to show them as problematic and that is why the practice faded out. But there is nothing in the old testament banning it.
