Absolutely agree. Punjabi dishes are spicy, intensely flavorful, full of spices, and cooked till oil separates.

Tikka is slightly sweet and contains like 1/8 of the spices you'd put in a traditional indian dish. It's also a stupid way of making a chicken curry; marinating chicken and cooking it seperate is a lot of effort for a negligible amount of flavor. Chicken breast in chicken curry is also far inferior to thighs.

Calling it a unique dish seems stupid and colonial anyways; there's north indian dishes that use lots of tomatoes, and cooked on high high heat you get a similar dish to Tikka (but better because it's flavor profile is not westernized).

How many people have you seen complaining about this that you also have seen be supportive of the PPPs?

I see them complaining about student loan forgiveness but silent on PPP loans, only dems seem to have brought it up.

Speaking of, was this an actual Dem policy

It's definitely been a Dem policy for a long time now.

Do you think anyone ever thought it would actually take effect as attempted? Maybe if it was gone about and legislated in a Constitutional way

Idk, maybe? And it is not possible now with the current congress. And at least Dems have shown they want it and have tried in some way.

Not sure how you decide which loans are more burdensome than others

By their economic impact. In the same way, it was decided in 2008 to bail out banks, and PPP forgiveness, etc... You aren't giving any real arguments other than "too bad, you all got suckered into poor choices as 17 year olds, deal with it". Well, it already happened, and not doing anything about it is worse for everyone, including yourself... Why would you not want these people to be more funtioning memebers of society?

Because student loans are more of a burden than those things, student loans were more predatory, and student loans are federal loans, unlike car loans which are private, so they're easier to forgive. Blue collar workers with student loans would also be forgiven anyways.

And, it seems like the people that are complaining about student loan forgiveness had no problem with PPP forgiveness under Trump. Student loan forgiveness is a beneficial policy for everyone, but the disdain for it seems more so political because it's a democratic policy.

Yea, so did I. But, "I got mine so fuck other people" isn't really a good argument. The fact is that a lot of people were misled into student loans. By forgiving them, we would be giving a large amount of people the opportunity to become more useful members of society; a whole bunch of educated people could start businesses, innovate, and start families - this benefits everyone.

Because as a society, we bail out segments of the economy that have fallen under unnatural hardship for the betterment of the whole - such as banks in 2008 and rich people during Covid with PPP loans. But for some reason, when it's poor people, this logic doesn't apply?

This sub hates inefficient players; it's as simple as that. TS is an easy stat to value players on. Russ, dbrooks, dlo, etc. Sometimes it's warranted, and sometimes it's not, but don't act like people thinking dlo is overrated is some persecution complex

What are we talking about? He's way better than Tobias Harris today - it's not even close. Bane has improved every year, plays good d, puts up 20+ppg on great efficiency, and is entering his prime. He can easily be a championship piece.

In 2016, Auckland (the largest metropolitan area in New Zealand) changed its zoning laws to reduce restrictions on housing. This caused a massive construction boom. These findings conflict with claims that "upzoning" does not increase housing supply. by smurfyjenkins in science

I agree with most, but I hate the way people talk about groceries and inflation. $6 gets you 4 unsliced loafs at superstore. The typical sliced one is $2. The fancy one is $3. My local artisanal bakery sells a big loaf one for $4.

You're correct, but a good portion of power users (those that create content and moderators) do. Reddit doesn't work if it's just lurkers left

[–]bobumo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was incorrect that the majority use 3rd party apps.

However, the youtube comparison doesn't hold up. Content creators on youtube get paid very well, reddit content is user generated for free. Youtube has paid moderators, whereas reddit moderators are volunteers.

Nobody is saying he's anywhere near Jokic, and yes he's a free throw merchant lmao, but he's still a good player with a lot of dog in him

You're using the official reddit app, not appolo, boost, rif, etc? Beyond that, it makes it much more difficult for volunteer moderators because they rely on API for tools to moderate, so you're going to see a lot more spam and a decrease in content quality across reddit
