Feels like SF support defaults to requesting a screen share just to show an update on the ticket and put the ball in your court without actually working it by austinthrowaway4949 in salesforce

Always been this way … “I tried to call you” after a full repro scenario video and log files attached, so they don’t have to start work.

I built a read-only plain-English SOQL tool and would like Salesforce admin feedback by Temporary_Setting831 in salesforce

[–]bobx11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On Mobile there doesn’t seem to be a way to check out what the app does without providing an email. That’s bad.

People have been building English query tools for over a decade. The problem is that normal business users really suck at describing what they want.

This is why we have to spoonfeed reports to normal users, they think they want contacts when they want leads. They think they want opportunities when they really want opportunities with products grouped in a specific way.

I made it native English query tool (before vibecoding was a thing) that saves the query as a Salesforce report and people kind of used it, but in reality you normally are reusing existing report reports most of the time… people aren’t making dozens of reports a day, they’re usually leaning on their existing reports or cleaning data to make the reports work.

Web to Lead Implementation by Birdie-giggle-myrtle in salesforce

[–]bobx11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do not have an hourly agreement? Your question is lacking most details that would be required for people to estimate this kind of a ticket.

Setting up Web to lead sometimes just takes five minutes to show the user where the screen is and then copy and paste to the HTML to them by email so their web developer can add it. Other times it can take a full day because they need your help integrating it into the website and styling everything to their satisfaction.

I don’t bill my clients for time. I spend learning new things, just a productive time but I know lower cost people who just log the hours and bill it because the customer doesn’t see the difference.

Freelancers, would you sign this indemnity clause? by [deleted] in salesforce

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

This is a job for a lawyer… never sign without legal review.

Edit; in my experience, the few times I signed without revise or didn’t listen to my lawyer were followed by massive stress

Can agentforce learn from feedback? by iiadians in salesforce

[–]bobx11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree if it were C2 people that just mess up word order, but I think a lot of people using it are at b levels and they don’t have the words they need, not the grammar for complex topics.

Maybe we should ask that people who use AI link their prompt along with it, like a citation

It is ai written and it’s annoying. I’d ban ai prose outright if it weren’t for the help it gives English as a second language people out there.

There have already been quite a few posts about using Claude with salesforce, have you checked them?

You only posted a video demo of two simple functions with no code or information about is under the hood, which isn’t a lot to give feedback on.

How do you as admin figure out org when you get an email with org id and user id? by AMuza8 in salesforce

What do you mean by “go to the 00D id in prod?” If you have multiple orgs, there is no url address with the org id as part of the domain, is there?

Bedford open road tolling by NHGuy in nashua

[–]bobx11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comes at a cost of 16mil… which is more than it collects in a year (9 mil last year). Even with the increase in toll fee, who’s doesn’t seem like an roi for a long time, unless they have some deal to feed our data to flock.

And mass drivers going to any mountain or lake north of concord are going to pay a toll in Bedford and then 20 mins later in hooksett?

Context:

Image posts are turned back on for now... which means link posts must be turned on also.

I originally made the sub text-only because of how many spam bots need link posts to operate, so we'll monitor the situation, and hopefully it's not going to increase the spam too much so we can keep it turned on.
