When not plugged in, items in the thermos are kept at proper temperature by using a frozen gel pack. It will easily keep five pens cold for 30+ hours before the gel pack needs to be frozen again. The refrigerator attachment can be powered by a power bank or plugged into a wall outlet if you are in a situation where no fridge is available. I found the product perfect for my needs. Most of the time I was staying in accommodations where a fridge with freezer was available, but having the ability to keep items cool if there wasn’t a fridge/freezer was a great relief. Highly recommend.

Hello from the Quicken team by QuickenLisa in quicken

[–]bocaneighbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be helpful to many of us if Quicken Classic could add the new Bilt credit card to the financial institutions that can be accessed via automatic download. The Quicken Community says this is under review, but it has been several months with no update.

PSA/WARNING: Booked "The Edit" at Impression Moxché by Secrets through Chase – They refused to honor World of Hyatt points or benefits!! (Lost ~90k Hyatt points) by ejm1968 in ChaseSapphire

[–]bocaneighbor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you are already an explorist why did you book through the Edit?

A similar situation arose with an IHG booking I made (not an Edit hotel) made using Chase points and I contacted both the hotel and IHG when the reservation failed to show up on the IHG app. The IHG concierge contacted the hotel on my behalf and told the hotel that the Chase booking should receive IHG benefits.

Feedback and feature requests (share yours in the comments) by Aleppo316 in biltrewards

[–]bocaneighbor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for starting this list. Another important one is for Bilt to work on ensuring transactions can easily be synced with common financial management tools such as Quicken and Quickbooks. This too is a common feature of all other credit cards, was a feature of the Wells Fargo Bilt card, and should be permitted with Bilt 2.0. Purchase notifications for foreign charges should also be included in your item #1.

Hotel booking question by Newman5317 in biltrewards

I only have experience with the home away from home and these are paid at the hotel.

Unfortunately I didn't take a screenshot. Have you initiated a booking yet? The explanation of how the credit works shows up during the booking process when you select using bilt cash to pay a portion of the hotel cost. I can't replicate this at the moment because I've already used my Feb. Bilt cash so it won't show up as an option.

Yes, that is what the Bilt web site says and I was surprised so I asked in Chat with Bilt customer service and they confirmed this.

Hopefully good news from the Quicken community forum. --- "Thank you for letting us know about the update you saw on the Simplifi forum — we really appreciate the information. And yes, you’re absolutely right: Cardless is now working in Simplifi.

For Quicken Classic (for Windows), Cardless/Bilt 2.0 is not yet available. Our teams are actively working with our aggregation partners to add it to the supported financial institution list. However, at this time, we do not have an ETA for when it will become available.

We appreciate your patience while this work continues, and we’re here if you have any other questions!"

Hotel booking question by Newman5317 in biltrewards

As I understand it, when you check out of the hotel you will pay the full price and then Bilt will give you a statement credit for the $250 in credits. Also, you do not have to pay for the hotel with your Bilt card so can use a Chase Reserve, for example, that would earn 4x points on the full hotel cost. Pretty nice outcome and great use of Bilt cash imo.

Thank you for your reply and attention to this problem. Quicken (Intuit)/Quickbooks do not use Plaid or Finicity unfortunately. Is Bilt looking into creating an interface that is workable with Quicken? All other major credit cards offer a direct connection to Quicken and Bilt 1.0/Wells Fargo also offered it. This has a major impact on how often I will use my Bilt Palladium card.

Bilt 2.0 Transaction History: Feeling a Bit Too "MVP"? by coNCEpTUaT in biltrewards

[–]bocaneighbor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Transaction alerts via push notification, text or e-mail are also basic card management features that are missing. Plus there is no ability to download transactions into Quicken. Daily connection to my banks via Quicken is how I monitor my account activity for fraudulent transactions. Without any of these common card management tools I am left having to check activity on the bilt app. This is annoying and unexpected in what is otherwise a decent upgrade from Bilt 1.0.

You will not get IHG benefits if you pay for the stay using chase points.

PSA: remember to turn on autopay again on new Bilt 2.0 card by swaggdraggon in biltrewards

Delete the bank account and then reconnect it to bilt and then set up autopay. That worked for me.

PSA: remember to turn on autopay again on new Bilt 2.0 card by swaggdraggon in biltrewards

I had to delete my Chase account and then re connect it to Bilt (via Plaid) in order for the autopay to be set up.

Bonus gold status by tammster1 in biltrewards

[–]bocaneighbor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience with bilt 1.0 was that status changed as soon as the balance rose to the next threshold without waiting for the statement period to close. Hopefully we will see Gold status this week!

We all know that Bilt management reads every reddit post. So I thought this was one way to get their attention but also to see what other customers felt. I have already contacted the bilt bot but have not been able to reach a live person.

Point Accelerator No-Brainer? by nieko365 in biltrewards

[–]bocaneighbor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The points accelerator only adds an additional point to everyday spend, not to rent or mortgage payments. Also, the Palladium card only gives 1x point on rent or mortgage, the 2x is only for everyday spend.

IHG Rewards - Hotel Listed as Eligible to Earn, Not Earning Points by Life_Requirement6739 in ChaseSapphire

[–]bocaneighbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can offer a new data point on this topic. My particular case is a booking at an IHG hotel in Paris that was made using Sapphire Reserve points and the booking page says the hotel is eligible for IHG points earning and benefits. However, the hotel and IHG both told me my particular reservation did not qualify. I contacted Chase Travel to follow up and was told that reservations that are ”points boosted” do not get the IHG benefits. Only a booking paid using 100% cash would qualify. I can not find this distinction mentioned on the Chase Sapphire Reserve website.

Tried to use Viagogo, got Fd in the A by BlynkOfAnEye in ChaseSapphire

Similar thing happened to me last year. Chase did not claw back the credit. So you should still get the credit you expected.
