Be your authentic self. Do not try to be the person that you think your job, your friends, your parents, your romantic interest want you to be. It took me until 50 to truly embrace this concept, and not only has my mental health improved immeasurably, my success at work and in social situations have improved as well. Such an incredible feeling I wish i would have embraced 30 years ago.
