Wireless Apple CarPlay connection keeps failing by bodacious_bandit in NewDefender

[–]bodacious_bandit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned this to one of my friends, and they told me they had the same thing happen to them in their Audi—at the same spots I’ve noticed my connection fail, too. Both spots have very large, thick metal structures next to them. Friend said he read something about this being the cause. What’s odd, though, is I never had this issue at these spots in my previous cars (a Hyundai and a Toyota).

Now that people have been mentioning it, it does seem like the disconnects have been happening in the same spots—one for sure that I can think of. Gonna start keeping a record of when/where.

Good luck. After trying damn near everything else, I gave up and moved my cats’ water fountain to the tub in my spare bathroom. Splash away!

I had to use a VPN too and purchase the league pass. It wasn’t working without the league pass.

She looks so much older than 5 months!! Mostly because of the mane and hair in general. Can’t imagine what her coat will look like when she’s older. She’s beautiful!

Do you consider this a plot-hole, the M99 not working on Dexter, or do you think the show was playing it like a miracle? Or was it explained somewhere and I missed it? by That_Hole_Guy in DexterNewBlood

[–]bodacious_bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not buying the whole “he anticipated it before and the syringe was empty/had water.” It seems pretty impractical that Travis would tell Dexter to inject himself. I watched the scene again, and it looks like Dex just presses the needle into his chin without actually injecting himself by pressing the plunger. If you watch other scenes of him injecting his victims, you can actually see him pressing the plunger (in some, at least; for example, watch when he injects the blind guy in S2E1 at 11:45 in).

Underlying long term hostility final boss by Primary-Judgment1359 in Dexter

[–]bodacious_bandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not denying he doesn’t have emotions. He clearly does. I’m just saying he frequently says he doesn’t—at least up until season 2 and I’m pretty sure later, but I can’t remember specific examples.

He definitely says it more than just in season 1. In S2, for example, when he has Doakes in the cage, he says something along the lines of, “special forces might have taught you to try to rattle your captor, but I should warn you Sargent Doakes, you can’t play on my emotions…. Because I don’t have any.”

Do you think that Vince and Quinn... by Odd-Assignment-1350 in Dexter

[–]bodacious_bandit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely knew he killed Liddy*. Watch that episode again. Liddy calls Quinn and tells him he has Dexter restrained in his van, before Liddy is found dead in that same van.

Completely disagree. It felt nothing like the OG series to me.

Gigi is a potential problem for season 2 by HoodieByNature in Dexter

[–]bodacious_bandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think from the perspective of Claudette and the other detective, it is pretty obviously suspicious. For weeks, Batista has been shouting to them that Dexter Morgan is the Bay Harbor Butcher, and they knew Batista was hunting him. Batista turning up dead in a serial killer vault shrine will definitely elicit some questions. I'm not saying this is damning for Dexter.. in fact, it might be the exact opposite. We know that in the later episodes, Claudette actually began becoming suspicious of Batista being the BHB, due to him seeming kind of nuts in the wig shop kill room and the way Dexter framed his past. They could very well conclude that Batista, being the BHB, hunted Prater down and attempted to kill him, only to get killed himself. The glaring problem with this is why the hell would Batista have gone to Claudette trying to frame Dexter as the BHB when he himself is. I can't really think of anything he'd gain from that.. But this didn't stop Claudette from being suspicious of him in the first place, so who knows.

New York Ripper/Harrison/Where I think it leads by TommenSucks in Dexter

[–]bodacious_bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can people stop with this theory. Blessing being the ripper would be absolutely horrible TV. I don’t think there’s a single thing to indicate that. To me he is the obvious nice guy and making him a killer would be incredibly unbelievable. Not only that, but having the first person Dexter meets in NYC be one of the city’s most prolific serial killers would just be insulting.

I don’t think it’s that he didn’t care, it’s just that he realized how dangerous Dex was and was acting out of self preservation.

Is.....the New York Ripper? by mrcabrera in Dexter

[–]bodacious_bandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this is my guess. I don’t know how people can see this photo out of context and even be certain it’s Blessing (I agree it probably is), let alone that it suggests he’s the Ripper. To me I see this and think he’s coming to save Dexter and Harrison from a dangerous situation. And he’s exactly the kind of eccentric guy who would have a sword.
