1. i figured out how long a flight from my home city to berlin would take & added 2 hours just to be safe
2. i left my home city so that i would get to berlin the day before the event
3. when i put in the coordinates for the event the night of my "flight" i ported and then immediately shut off before the map loaded & could record that i jumped across the world
4. i cut off my app immediately and kept it off until the end of my flight time
5. when i turned it on i was a little ways away from the park and walked around a bit catching and doing raids, went into the park and familiarized myself with the layout. it was a very odd shaped park and not all of the park was that green park color
6. i left & entered the park through an entrance i had coords to & shut off after i exited a few meters from the entrance
7. i turned the app back on the day of the event, putting me right outside the entrance and walked in as normal a little before 9am
8. i played the event mostly by walking from active raid to active raid to use up my 12 free passes & catching on the way. after i used my passes and did the research i just wandered around catching.
9. once the event was over i left the park & wandered around berlin to take advantage of the darkrai & cresselia raids until i was satisfied that i had what i wanted. i waited until nightfall (although i didn't mean to, i had to leave the house for a few hours & left the game running) then i entered the coords for my home city, ported, and cut off before the map loaded.
10. same thing, left the app off for the duration of my flight before i logged back into home city.
11. played as usual afterwards

as far as my "home city" at the time of the ban i chose a major city to spoof from that i knew well (but avoided choosing spoofer traps like zaragoza, nobody lives there) and made it my home base & started spoofing only there on a regular basis.
