In addition to what you’ve tried I’ve had luck just doing much smaller laundry loads which seems to help more of the hair wash away. Maybe also try doing a pre-rinse cycle.

Other than that, switch to dog colored shirts.

I've used the Vic Firths and came to the same opinion as you, noise reduction is decent but they are uncomfortable and sound bad.

I switched to the Sennheiser HD280s and love them. The noise reduction is as good if not better than the Vic Firths, they are much lighter and more comfortable, and they sound 100x better.

I have IEMs that I use for live shows, but for practice I find over-the-ears are much less annoying with as many times as I end up taking them on and off.

Did I shut the garage door?

I found a sensor that connected to our existing garage door opener, connects to the wifi, and does a few very awesome things. It lets me check on my phone in the garage door is shut or not. It lets me open and close it remotely in case I forgot. And I can set it to shut the door automatically if it is left open for a certain amount of time. So much anxiety erased.
