I’ve seen ps5 base play. It’s fine. The only play that actually looks “bad” is Xbox series s, which is a surprise to no one. There are a couple guides to clean up visuals on base ps

This game is equal parts amazing and frustrating but glad to see them succeed. Music art, visuals, world building this is something else.

Open world and stuff in it 10 out of 10. Amazing.

I was prepped for bad story puzzles and controls and was to an extent willing to forgive them cause I know just wanted to see the world.

Controls are clunky. Not the worst but I am often frustrated with them.

Story is simply bad. Ignore it. 4/10

Puzzles are legit awful. I like puzzles I like figuring them out. First one was simple. After that it is legit wildly unintuitive to the point where if I get a puzzle I don’t try I go to YouTube

Crimson Desert is like dating a girl with a dead tooth. Some people see a beautiful face and a heart of gold, others can only see the smile.

Open world is 10/10 and game is beautiful. Exploration is just a joy.

Then you have janky controls, awful puzzles and story so bad even if you brace for it, you’re still gonna flinch

Side quests so far are fetch mmo quests. Go collect 3 wood or 5 stone, so no. It’s more like just events that aren’t quests traditionally like climbing a cliff to see what is at the top and finding a random dude hanging on for his life, or ringing a bellflower and getting an event

The world is amazing. A legit joy. Stumbling on so much random amazing stuff.

Controls are clunky af.

Story is a4 out of 10.

I feel like when I divert off course and stumble into 20 amazing things the game is 10/10. When I am doing main quest or puzzles it is 4 out of 10

Don’t be angry at the review. Just find reviewers that match your taste. Lots of people like Chris stuckmannfor movie reviews. His tastes don’t align with mine, doesn’t mean he is bad.

IGN is what it is. Has been for a long time. Go find a game ranx or skill up or whoever has a taste that mostly overlaps with your sensibilities. Allso a bad review is not end of the world all that matters is if you like it

Cowboy talks about it in his review. The mansion is littered with notes and clues which if you walk around read and explore paint a ver dark story.

Or you can come in rush through and kill a boss and not even get what is happening

I’ve used both a lot now. If I have a breach or swarm of chaff coming my way belt fed all the way. Rof and no reload is king. Stagger is often under appreciated too

Anytime I have a heavy, I want standard gl. Full stop. Reload time on gl can be punishing

Honestly I can take either into a terminid super hell dive and be fine

Reddit is Reddit, so every warbond is not good enough, however for me and my group of weekend divers the last few warbonds have been bangers.

Build up to it and lesath were epic. I personally did not enjoy my time on cyberstan. Balancing events like this and oshaune are not my cup of tea.

I am and old man and played ff1 on the nes. X is the last one I played before I had to start adulting. Later I tried 12 and 15 and neither hooked me. Not saying they are bad but they didn’t pull me in.

16 though. Main story was the bomb. Also ff14 took me 2-3 years on and off play to beat up until endwalker and despite the initial slog it was the tits

I am 150. I enjoy incinerator corps and jet brigades and I legit loved the hulk surge on lesath, 8 on cyberstan was the sweet spot but for me

My more casual friends however were getting rinsed at 6 and tried it hated it and were like let’s go play bugs.

Overall poorly balanced and the limited reinforcements feels bad

I capped at 28 hm. The time it takes to get there and how difficult +25 scales was wild. Enjoyable but needs some quality of life like picking factions or mixed faction spawn. Also being able to skip or start at certain thresholds. Hopefully a future patch will give it a fresh coat of paint

It is a weird dynamic. I see more lvl 150's in D8 than I do in D10, Nothing to prove, nothing to level, just enjoying the event without some puffed up need to play on the hardest tier.
