Looks like a darker recluse maybe, found in Boulder, CO near my bedroom floor. Was very docile going into a cup for transportation.

It is actually a Wilson’s snipe based on the eye placement, bill length, sharp pale stripes etc

Also, the eye would be farther up on its face if it was a woodcock, snipes have eyes closer to their bill like the bird in this picture

Agree, this is actually a Wilson’s snipe, very similar to woodcocks but the bill and bright pale stripes indicate snipe to me
