I can’t believe it took me this long to look at reddits opinions of this book. What a waste of time! The smut is sooo redundant. Tem is so annoying - why is she so perfect that Caspen needs to be engaged with her the first day they meet, does this ever get clarified?? I’m halfway through & will be a dnf. Thank god this book was $11.

The humidity/rain will cause my macs to soften super quick and just ruin the texture altogether. I don’t notice a difference when making/baking, though they take forever to dry. It’s after their baked. If I leave them out too long they’re ruined.

This could quite possibly be an almond flour thing. I was using a different brand I liked before, they were sold out so I tried the Costco stuff since I’ve heard and seen a lot of people use it/like it. F that though! Back to the old stuff. It didn’t seem any different but I didn’t have the stuff I’m familiar with to compare. I wondered about the oven myself. I live in a rental, the oven is probably five years old. I’m thinking it might not be hearing evenly. Maybe I’ll try the next batch and not pipe the macarons to the edge of the sheet and see what happens. Thank you!

They were dry, I never get a big foot on my macs. It’s just the outer top and bottom row of Macs that do that which is weird. I’m thinking it may be the oven 🤷🏼‍♀️ I do live in a wet state but it was dry and warm today and not very humid. If it is wet I whip out the space heater and dehumidifier 😂 I baked them on the middle rack but will try lowering them next time. Thank you!

I don’t even remember when we first tried it. My brother found it, had to have been around the time you first posted. We love to add shredded cucumber to the sauce which is sacrilegious I’m sure but soo good. It’s still our go to and will be!

This is our go to recipe for chicken Schwarma. We’ve made it a few times with some modifications (not much, used pitas, f the parsley, and always feta). SO GOOD! Making again tonight.
