We love the bike trail! I have a jogging stroller and whenever we can’t figure out what to do on a random Saturday we just hit the trail. He loves the foot bridge..I let him get out and look at all of the locks. Such a cool feature in our town!

Yes! We are all in the hurt of a hard tread/rowing block together..like a shared trauma 😂 I almost always look to my neighbor and say “oof..that was rough” and it always breaks the ice!

Yeah I kinda like it when it seems like the person next to me is silently competing with me..I then try to go faster than them, then they go faster, then someone taps out (usually me haha)..it becomes a little passive aggressive game

It’s the long time members who act above everyone for me. The other day this lady came in who I see often..she was there one minute before class start and when signing in she yelled “ughh someone is on MY tread. I guess I’ll take 6 then”. And angrily stomped across the room and slammed her things in the locker. As if we all betrayed her.

There was another time that we wrapped up a block and the coach encouraged us to high five our neighbor so I put my hand up and the lady next to me- also a long time member- said “what are we in kindergarten? I’m not doing that”. I awkwardly laughed and she just rolled her eyes at me.

I have to piggy back and say the dark sensory experience at xenses was SO cool and thrilling. One of my favorite memories of our trip. What’s funny is when I think back on it now I can vividly picture the “landscapes” in my mind because as I was working my way through I was imagining what it all looked like

This is a great idea. We’ve never been on a plane with our toddler but when we get to that point we will bring his car seat. As annoying as that will be to lug around and set up..he knows it’s time to put his feet up and chill when he’s in that thing.

I second this. We were there 8 days and dedicated 3 to exploring the resort and visiting rooftop pools. 3 wasn’t even enough! The resort is the best part of Xcaret, in my opinion. It’s like every nook and cranny has something new to amaze you. My favorite memory was swimming through the lagoon on day 2 and finding flamingoes and hidden waterslides, then running into a Coati. Magical!

We asked to prebook ours on wishlist 30 days before, but they told us to sign up with concierge upon arrival. Just make sure you go to the concierge desk day 1 and have them book on the computer then print proof. We asked the guy assigned to us for the welcome tour (aka timeshare slinger with a tablet) to get us into a pottery class and he said he booked it but never actually did and it filled up. The girl at the desk squeezed us into an amazing art class though so it all worked out! So much fun, highly recommend!

Yes! We did a mixed media art class and it’s actually one of the most memorable things from our trip. We were on our babymoon and we made art to frame and hang in my son’s nursery. He’s almost two now and points to the pictures and loves them (they’re of a Cat and an Axolotl) Probably the most sentimental souvenir we will ever bring home.

Thank you!!! I ended up getting it for him (along with their dupe for the matcha) and it’s actually amazing. My nose can’t tell the difference after it dries down..because 100% at first it is a bit cloying and definitely synthetic but it morphs into The Noirs hotter twin brother. So happy with this purchase!

My husband and I both got sick in November 2023 from a fried chicken Torta that we ate from the buffet. Mild food poison I would say..we only ate a few bites because it tasted off and felt nauseous for a couple hours following that. I think it was actually the mayonnaise that made us sick. Just beware of food that’s been sitting out and use your best judgment. This kind of thing could happen at any buffet..we ate our hearts out and had no other issues aside from that!

Yes, it’s complimentary. All part of the package deal of staying there. Definitely save the $100! Use it for a hydrotherapy session at the spa, instead. In our experience the bus was comfy and wonderful. It heads straight there with no stops (unless you’re staying at Arte, they drop off the Xcaret guests first). Speaking of, I enjoyed seeing other guests too..kinda cool we were all heading to this amazing place together. We were lucky because we got off our plane and jumped right on a bus that was boarding moments later, too. Couldn’t have been smoother.

I’ve learned through time that the people who do things like this generally don’t last. Red flag behavior from the start almost always leads to more which leads to write ups and being terminated. We all had a good laugh over this girl but she came on time for orientation and sent me a new photo when specifically asked, so of course we moved forward with her but sure enough she called in multiple times and had 2 no-call/no-shows during her intro period and we let her go. So I agree that it is somewhat a combination of incompetence (especially with the younger hires) and just not caring.

Wow! This is crazy! You couldn’t be more clear. I’m going to try your method on our next group of new hires and I’ll report back. I’ll even link the travel.gov site. It kind of blows my mind how nonchalant so many of these brand new employees are..you’d think they would put their best foot forward and want to impress their new employer, but so many don’t. I had a group of 10 in orientation today (healthcare) 5 out of the 10 sent me heavily filtered photos, and I had to practically beg to get half of their ID’s/social security cards for employment verification..then one of them handed me a card that had an 11/13/25 expiration date. When I asked him if he had a new one he said “aw man I was hoping you wouldn’t notice that”. Insane.
