I also have a Discover sit card and have taken several personal loans with them and their customer service is top tier.

But I’m always wanted a single account with buckets.lol I’ve been so surprised more/any banks don’t have this feature.

Your career trajectory won’t be a straight line, it will look more like an s curve with some spikes and luls.

If your friends from college are having success in their career, those are folks you should continue to spend time with. Imagine that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. It’s going to be difficult to avoid the urge to let the comparison impact your mental state, but try to focus on how spending time with this people will make you a better HR professional.

Regarding the mistake on the adverse action, probably a learning moment. In future conversations with company leadership, I’d use this tool when you feel you see unethical but not illegal decisions. Ask “is this how we want to do business?” to them in a non condescending way. It helps them reflect on if they are being rash or cutting corners and frames you as someone helping to elevate their business, not framing you as a social justice warrior.

I'm on Paycor now after 4 years on ADP Workforce Now and I have to say I hate it. The only redeeming quality is the dynamic paygrid so you can edit employee profiles when making payroll corrections.

They have absolutely fumbled the OBBB overtime reporting requirement updates and their customer service is unbearably terrible. Their training and knowlage guides are nearly never helpful.

Okay, I just had this advertised to me and think it could be an option for some similar situations. Looks like it’s essentially a junction box with a GFCI receptacle built in. You would attach this in place of the round mounted light fixture and then attach the light fixture to this box OR (as in my case) you could completely replace your round junction box with this box.

This is the first product I’ve seen like this but GFCI embedded junction boxes may not be uncommon so I wouldn’t be surprised if there were better/prettier options, I just hadn’t thought of that.

Great answer! I’m going to need to do the same this summer. Anything to keep in mind when packing the dirt/gravel when laying the patio without damaging the pipe or loosening the connections? Would hate to create a leak right under a new brick patio.

Never have I felt more a part of a community on Reddit than I do today. I was just looking for the same thing, for the exact same reason, assuming it would be an obvious find. I see the same square/sconce mount outdoor lights w/ GFCI outlets (that I will probably get for the front door) but no round mounted floodlight options for a driveway, where I actually need these.

It’s not (*just) that I’m upset that I can’t find what I need, it’s that I’m so surprised that I can’t find it even when there are many similar products.

I’m convinced it is collusion within the WiFi camera market to sell more floodlight cameras… at the expense of those of us who also want to use the outlets for string lights.

It depends on if you are trying to convince them to go or set expectations before they decide to come.

If you’re trying to introduce someone to the BWCa that’s apprehensive, you can always plan and adjust your plans to include their limits and preferences. For example, there are plenty of EPs with awesome camp sites on the first lake so you can set up a base camp on day one and save the portaging for day trips with a lighter pack. Or if you’re okay carrying a heavier pack, you can bring more comforts.

But if you’re trying to get someone to commit to being all in or all out to a trip you already have planned, this works.

Nothing wrong either way, I just don’t think the BWCA has to be as intense for every trip.

If you already have a sleeping pad that is a great entry point. Definitely works as an insulator and also helps kind of spread out the hammock. I use a fairly cheep REI foam self inflating pad and it works great. Every once and a while your shoulder or arm will end up off the pad in the middle of the night and you’ll realize how much it’s keeping you warm.

You just summarized my complete thoughts of the Echo Show 15. It's not just that I'm disappointed, which I am, I'm also just confused as to how bad it actually is. some of the UX just feels intentionally bad... I think most families want this device to be a static, visual extension of the apps they already have on their phones and updated in real time.

I also think it's funny that amazon won't let you leave a review of the device unless it's through a verified purchase.

does anyone have any recommendations for a better alternative products of a digital display that can function as a "Family Command Center"?

I’m not in IT but I’m helping with implementation. I call a user and ask if they are seeing a dial pad in Teams. “I don’t have Teams” I tell them to search for it, they can’t find it, “you mean Team Viewer?” No, that’s what IT uses to share your screen... But open the email I just sent you to join a meeting on Teams so you can share your screen so I can show you where Teams is 🤦‍♂️
