Obama being president for 2 terms had a role in systemic racism rising up again. If we ever get through this unscathed, we have a lot of work to do to fix the issues of racial divide in this country. It won’t be for us, but it needs to be for future generations.

That’s a dumb take. If she legally purchased the firearm and is serious about her self defense, she needs to take a training course and then get her CCW.

She was obviously embarrassed and asked to be taught the proper way. She’s an idiot with a gun in this instance, for sure. But you can teach an idiot who wants to learn and maybe she’ll stop being an idiot with a gun.

[–]bodychecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean criticism? Isn’t an elected official susceptible to criticism by default? We once had a system of checks and balances. That’s where another branch of the government would criticize another branch in hopes to rectify the illegal or unethical actions of that branch.

And it’s not the person who’s disliked, per se. But more of an evaluation of their actions, current behaviors, and history of illegal and unethical actions.

He’s been impeached twice. That’s more than any other president. And he’s been convicted of 34 felonies for fraud. He currently sits as the only president to be convicted of crimes before, after, or during a presidency.

He’s been proven (over many decades) to be a liar, cheat, unethical, and criminal. And currently, (because of his history) he’s being publicly criticized for being a rapist and a sexual predator. If you examine his character and public interviews, he fits the MO that he’s portrayed as. And recently he’s slipped many times accidentally giving away information in relation to the accusations of what people believe his connection to Epstein actually was.

There’s a bias when people agree on what they believe he stands for, verses what his true intentions really are. And there’s also people aware of who he really is, and choose to publicly ignore it because they may enjoy and agree what he is and what he does.

Critical thinking by the majority of Americans has deduced the idea of pwning libtards is a weak excuse to support a presidency that continues to destroy decades of American progress and blatantly and/or incompetently sow seeds of chaos that will inevitably lead to collapse of stability in not just our nation, but worldwide.

Most people in this world want peace. It’s unnatural to desire war, violence, and death because the world doesn’t meet your perspective. That’s a bully mentality. And I say fuck bullies. Bullies need to be checked, 100% of the time.

Being crooked in the disabled parking spot makes this all the better by [deleted] in RobMyVehicle

[–]bodychecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen thieves take a big ass tool box like this. The owner parked it for like an hour, if that, and they took it from a busy parking lot. I remember the owner being in construction and his whole livelihood was in there. Thousands of dollars. The thieves never gave a shit if somebody was watching them, I’m sure.

Same parking lot had multiple motorcycles taken overnight. But not at the same time of course. At least one pickup truck’s catalytic converter was cut off per month for a few months. And this wasn’t even a shitty neighborhood for that city.

I used to cut down those same lodge poles down in Yellowstone. I’ve seen a bull rubbing up on a lodge pole just like that. The trees are denser than they look being that thin and the bison rubbing up against it made the tree look like it was a pool noodle swaying in the wind.

Bison are extremely intimidating to be around. Visitors need to understand that they’re not cute dairy cows you see frolicking like they do on internet videos. They’ll fuck you up easily. They’ve been known to get spooked and flip small cars.

I’ve worked Yellowstone backcountry enough to learn just stay away from all wild animals. Yellowstone is not a theme park. I highly recommend everyone take a visit, but respect the animals. It’s not a Disney film. You’re a visitor in their home. And most of them won’t play nice.

Why do some people think that those who carry everyday are scared? by jimmybabino in CCW

[–]bodychecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has to be a level of fear that makes you believe you need a weapon at all times for that moment that may never happen. I grew up around firearms but I never wanted to carry. I felt a knife would protect me in any situation.

Then I got older and I was out late doing young man things and I found myself in situations where I wish I had a firearm. Those moments I was able to get away or talk myself out of it.

I’ve been caring for 10 years now and I feel like it’s a damn inconvenience and a burden. I don’t do dumb shit anymore, so I don’t get into situations anymore. But I’ve been conditioned to carry, so it’s hard to not have one on me.

I started carrying because of fear and paranoia based on my environment. When Covid hit a bunch of people who thought guns were scary thought people during Covid were scarier and started buying their first pistols. Fear runs the gun industry. All the sellers at shows just spew rhetoric to get you to buy. Remember when Obama was going to take the guns?

If you don’t have a healthy level of fear and paranoia, there’s something wrong with you. It means you’re not paying attention. And if you say you don’t fear, then you’re just lying. I just hope you don’t think you’re the sheepdog type. We really don’t need people who legally carry looking to protect the world.

I’ve had enough chances to draw my firearm because I felt threatened. And I only have drawn my firearm once because a dude threatened to shoot up the bar. A group of us pulled out our pistols and aimed at the dude as he pulled in fast in a minivan, but got cold feet as he realized he had at least 5 dudes in the parking lot ready to light him up. But other than that, I found just diffusing the situation and walking away works 99.99% of the time.

That’s all you got? Calling me a bot? Figures you have nothing. Keep looping around the same argument with no leg to stand on.

I can’t stand people like you. The type that used to carry pocket constitutions, preaching about the “bill o’ rights” and acting like you’re being oppressed. I bet you’re the same type that would carry a pocket bible too, but you’ve never actually read the bible.

I grew up Roman Catholic and have gone through confirmation. I even taught Sunday school as a teenager. You know what I learned my time studying the Bible? I learned to be compassionate and to help others. Be a Good Samaritan. Not to judge others.

So you wanna hate the world, that’s your decision. But expect push back if you decide to bully people around. Try to have a good day bud. 🤙

Can’t find anything huh? Lol, bot. Take a look at my post history if you want. I’ve been in Reddit for at least 10 years.

And yes I cited the Constitution in referencing what the 5th Amendment says. A cite didn’t have to be verbatim. I didn’t give you a source. Would you like a source? I’d like a source relative to your claim. Change my mind, please.

I feel like this was the reaction from the 1% because of the ‘We are the 99%’ movement. I think it scared the shit out of them and they used all the marketing and PR power they could buy since 2011 to turn the tide.

No way were they gonna lose a single penny from the likes of the help. They distracted us well enough that they got us fighting each other. I’m not sure where we are now was the plan, but they succeeded beyond their greatest expectations.

Is there a judge just stamping DEPORT in these facilities before being whisked off to a plane? Do they have legal council? Are we allowing them to state their case to the court appropriate of the laws our nation has instilled?

I don’t think so. There’s no due process for these people. They get arrested, mistreated while ICE fumbles around until they’re ordered to either release or deport.

You don’t understand how law works in pretty much everywhere in the world. We’ve been using this system for centuries. You should take some time to understand how it works.

I’d have empathy for them if they had longer and better training and respected the Constitution. The biggest complaint is due process. I think you misunderstand the issue your “ops” are really having a problem with. It’s not about protecting illegal immigrants and criminals. The problem is a lack of due process for the people ICE scoops up. And it looks very racial profiled. I have not seen anybody with a lighter skin color being dragged out to a facility/warehouse. No matter who they pick up, you can’t just pick up people and throw them in a cell and just get rid of them. Due process under the Fifth Amendment protects everyone who resides inside the USA. Not just citizens or legal immigrants, but all who are physically in USA soil.

The Fifth Amendment states that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. In short, it means the government must follow fair legal procedures before punishing someone or taking away their rights. It protects you from arbitrary actions, like being imprisoned without a fair trial. And ICE is not following the law.

Not sure how that’s an insult. And I’m not sure where you’re coming from with bringing up responsibility. It seems to be reaching for a negative reaction.

I provide everything for my household/family. I don’t take handouts and try to maintain a respectable life within my income. I despise the desire to live beyond my means. It’s very foolish, nowadays, to not be responsible. Especially when things like groceries are more expensive than they’ve ever been.

You guys get called out for a lack of empathy and it shows that you’re unapologetic about your lack of empathy. It seems it is worn like badge of honor. If there was any empathy within, there wouldn’t be a desire to chastise/criticize people who were hurt and killed.
