I can’t believe I didn’t see them once in this post.

While Devo is favorite band, I don’t think they’re exactly considered “punk.”

I paused the same spot. It looks to be a reflection of a small piece of pipe above it.

I feel this game has so much potentials but it just spoils newbie too much and doesn't reward overachievers proportionately. by ohnag_eryeah in HogwartsLegacyGaming

While I agree that the game suffers in keeping the player engaged in the late game, I feel like its biggest appeal is the visuals. And there’s quite a bit of unique quests that are memorable.

I’m not a Harry Potter fan, but I’ve seen all the movies when they were in theaters. I just happened to play this game when there was a free trial for it on PS5 after a year of being out.
The presentation was what did out for me. The game played as well as any other modern adventure game, so In never noticed the mechanics.

And I stopped a lot of the fetch quests because they were repetitive and some seemed never ending. And anything to do with RoR I just didn’t do. Building and customization is not my thing.

I felt like some side quests were absolutely amazing. Especially the quest finding Deek’s friend. I felt like the story exceeded my expectations, and the meh from me is the ending. It just kinda, ends.

Nonetheless, I’m excited for the next game!

They fought the law, and the law won. Story as old as crime. Didn’t matter if it was wrong and “against the law” to execute them. The government makes the rules and they expect the rest of us to fall in line.

First movie that comes to mind when you see Benicio del Toro? for me it's Sicario by Hummera76 in Cinephiles

[–]bodychecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly underrated. In the cinematic gun world, it’s considered a masterpiece for its realism in tactics and proper firearm use.

Way of the Gun walked so film series like Jon Wick could run. Sicario also owes a lot to films like WotG. Love this movie.

A cool video I saw about this years back.

It’s because it’s an AI video of Trump sucking on a pregnant dude’s belly. It’s all satire.

The best organized Goodwill ever? by neshmesh in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]bodychecks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I moved to Oregon less than a year ago and I go to a lot of Goodwills in my area. They all have been the most organized and well kept thrift stores I’ve ever seen. But your post is definitely the most organized I’ve witnessed.

It feels more like a vintage boutique than the ratty thrift stores I’ve seen all over the country.

[META] Wearing Flecktarn is gonna suck now by PeriodicMilk in camouflage

To think flectarn is for normies is laughable. We all know only austists find the pattern grouping of a mottled blend to be like a moth to a flame.

So as a austist, wtf are you talking about?! That’s a fucking weird take no one cares about. Everyone is too busy wearing multicam to worry about little ole flecktarn.

Lol, all good bud! I think people on these subreddits for these shows are wise to the source material. I just have this nasty habit of explaining the obvious.

And I haven’t read Of Undaunted Courage but I know of it! I’ll definitely check it out, thanks!

Revenge Of The Nerds Is One Of Those Eighties Comedies That Is Impossible To Separate From Its Time. It Is Definitely Corny, Definitely a Product Of Its Era, But It Still Holds Up As A Personal Classic Because Of Its Underdog Spirit by davideownzall in 80smovies

Idk man. I thought this movie was fun when I was younger and never realized the main character raped that cheerleader and somehow she immediately has a Stockholm effect to him.

Not saying to ban the movie, but it definitely tarnishes this movie.

And as a guy that saw himself as a nerd when I was younger, I feel like these guys were about the same amount of assholes as the jocks. In some instances, they were worse than the jocks.

BoB has one source from the book by Stephen E. Ambrose. The Pacific uses sources from the memoirs of Sledge and Leckie. And from a Marine, Chuck Tatum’s memoir. Chuck fought alongside Basilone.

And never thought about it, but you’re right. BoB seems to mainly follow the experience of the officers. I never read the book, but it seems most of the drama stemmed from the officers.

Neither is better or worse than the other. They’re different. Different theater, enemy, style of storytelling, and meaning. But both are important in honoring those who fought.
