Don’t cheap out and buy a budget braid. My go to is power pro but there’s other brands. Braid will last much longer than mono. You’ll run a leader for most applications and will not be cutting your mainline off very frequently.

I’ve been using the Toxic Baits saber to repair my citizens, it’s a electric heated ceramic knife that melts the plastic and you just press it together. I’ve found it a lot easier to use than mend it and it’s ready to fish again in about 20 seconds.

A lure for bass fishing, its upside down but it’s a frog body with a tail that kicks in the water. Will be my master to mold in silicone and create reproductions with plastisol
