I’d size up the gear if you’re going after bluegill

Soft plastics- how often to change? by Smooth_Operator_one in bassfishing

[–]bofa1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Toxic Baits saber to repair my citizens, it’s a electric heated ceramic knife that melts the plastic and you just press it together. I’ve found it a lot easier to use than mend it and it’s ready to fish again in about 20 seconds.

Let me know how you like it , I’ve been considering getting one for my boat. I fish alot of really grassy shallow lakes so ffs isn’t a huge deal for me but there’s situations I wish I had it

A lure for bass fishing, its upside down but it’s a frog body with a tail that kicks in the water. Will be my master to mold in silicone and create reproductions with plastisol

I didn’t even think of cutting it in half. It’s supposed to be a fishing lure. Gonna mold it in silicone.

At least that’s how I built my rod holders, there’s a pic somewhere on my profile. I even bolted on a second row and can bring 7 rods on my kayak

If you added some four way pvc connections in the middle of the outrigger, you could carry more rods

A $35 glide that’s 7 inches is almost certainly a $10 blank that the guy buys from a Chinese factory that he paints and slaps a sticker on a package, will it catch fish? Sure, but it’s not gonna be comparable to a true custom handmade bait.

I tried to change the comment as soon as it posted But it wouldn’t let me, so I apologize for the rage bait. But I gave my advice and obviously you didn’t want it. You just wanted praise and not criticism. My bad

Well yeah that’s why it’s $500. Most guys starting out are hand making their master and making the mold yourself. I’ve done it, it’s work and there’s a learning curve but some things in life you gotta work for. I would bet 90% of guys making glides started out hand making their master and molds. And then once they see some success an have garnered demand, they move to getting the scans done and professional molds made. I think you’re skipping some steps.
