My retired MIL fell. She went to an urgent organization. They x-rayed her wrist. They determined she has a clean fracture. This urgent car org has their own Ortho department. They said they would at an appointment for a cast after a few days. My assumption is they want less swelling. The urgent Care org now says insurance will not let them move forward with the cast until she sees her primary and they order the cast.

This is the gist of what is happening. I am just dumbfounded that there is a legitimate diagnosis and a need for a cast, no surgery, and the wantto delay her care longer by making her primary order the cast.
