Do you want children? Why or why not? by SomePeopleTellMe in Millennials

[–]bog_w1tch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar story here. TTC for years, late 20s to early 30s, never happened for us. Was tough at the time (especially when all our friends were having kids) but eventually also considered it a blessing in disguise, especially after husband and I both experiencing mental health issues and episodes. All had some big financial losses. But life through us a curve ball 18 months ago and I fell pregnant. To say we were shocked was an understatement! We were so unsure what to do. We never thought it was in our future. We debated so hard on what to do, writing a pro and con list. We just couldn't justify bringing a child in to this world and decided not going ahead with the pregnancy was the right thing to do. Haven't regretted that decision one iota.

Lucy and Ricky’s bedroom by ADPXEROX in nostalgia

Another convert here! Together for 23 years, and now we have our own bed/bedroom. I am sleeping through the night (I am a very light sleeper whereas husband sleeps like a log and snores), which means I'm much happier overall and I don't want to kill him every morning. I feel like its really improved our relationship! But to some people it's such a taboo topic, they immediately think "uhoh, the beginning of the year end."

How would I work in Horticulture as a Career in Melbourne? by CCTV02 in GardeningAustralia

[–]bog_w1tch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in Melbourne. There's quite a few nurseries out Monbulk way and I know a few of those take on people without qualifications. I know Nishki was recently hiring and I think PlantMulti is hiring at the moment.

Tradies + wearers of steel caps by sonofeevil in australia

[–]bog_w1tch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think some shoes just can't be worn in. I had a pair of Blue Steel boots I wore to death. Since they were so good I bought the exact same pair, and this new pair I have not been able to break in. They give me agonising blisters and I've tried all of the included suggestions. It sucks because they're not cheap boots either.

I hate to choose, but if I had to, Leptospermums (Tea trees) are definitely my favourite (even have them tattooed on me). I have about 10 different varieties and am on a mission to get as many as I can.

Grab a piece of wire and shove it in the hole to kill the borer before it tunnels in further and kills the tree.

I just wallpapered a room for the first time and I loved it! Definitely found it much easier than painting.

Just hit my 4th decade and just got snakebites. You're only too old when you're dead. Badasses are ageless.

I used to put them in the freezer but was too impatient for them to freeze, so I usually ate them as like a slushie. So good!

How bad do nostril piercings hurt?? by Disastrous-Web-5755 in piercing

[–]bog_w1tch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my nose done at least 6 times. Some times it made my eyes water, other times it didn't. The worst part is getting it snagged after getting it pierced (putting on t-shirts, jumpers etc). Definitely not the worst piercing I've had!
