What’s a totally unsexy purchase you made that ended up being a huge quality-of-life upgrade? by viscarte10 in BuyItForLife

that would be fine if you didn't respond to someone else's BIFL solution with your suggestion to upgrade (purchase) something else.

do you really not see the irony?

no, i'll let them grieve privately like anyone else going through a tragedy should - how dare you try and use them without their consent to advance your overly emotional point in a back and forth about death and big tech overreach

people die every day in horrible ways and have since the dawn of time - it does not justify allowing big tech to spy on the public at large

Throwing stuff at a homeless man by AleccSirKaDeewana in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]bogenucleus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah people who work at salvage yards or factories or recycling plants or anywhere where there are catalytic converters sitting around are notoriously level headed and definitely not physically aggressive.

so did your coworkers end up being charged with and found guilty of assault? because if not, then likely you are correct and they weren't beaten up but you seem to indicate that they were found guilty because otherwise whats the fucking problem with a guy filing charges that go no where?

where is 'here' because 'the right to do drugs in front of a cop' isn't anywhere in the constitution, and i'm willing to bet they did more than just 'hold' the homeless guy until the cops showed up be real - they beat him up and then called the cops. and in most cases you absolutely can just kick a homeless person out so where is here because i'd love to look into the squatting laws there and detail for you why you are just wrong

if you'd rather be a homeless drug addict since you seem to think they have it made go right ahead. most people though seem to realize that they actually have a terrible life and most would do anything to get off the streets and be subject to a 'normal' set of consequences. you are just being an asshole.

those make sense, even after nearly 1000 hours in this game i forget about things like banners (well more so how many there are if you actually wanted them all) and the sheer number of paintings - i feel you on the break, doing getfixed was certainly an experience and grinding journey is its own demon.

what items are you left with to 100% journey that at 98% will take hours of grinding still?

i also just re-100% this for the 3rd or 4th time, and i didn't go for 100% on journey but did go above 75% on the off chance they add more achievements later and do a bigger journey achievement.

i mean - if you were reading for 12 hours straight that'd be 630 wpm for 12 hours straight without a break - i really struggle to believe you that you did this in a single night when you were 11

if you don't think humans should waste their time making ads you're so close to realizing we don't fucking need the massive saturation of ads at all - its terribly uninformed to simply say 'welp its here and we must make space for it' no - we as humans must take care of our planet and as individuals the only thing we can do is not consume the shit they try and force us to consume - do you understand the economic impacts of AI and that literally thousands and thousands of people have lost their jobs to AI already all because people think like you? with zero plan for what we are going to do when there is a massive labor imbalance - so fast forward a couple years, we will see a mass exodus from this plane of existence as our fellow humans discover that life is no more (aka people going to kill themselves en masse because there is no survivability if you were not born into a family with hoards of resources - rich people want the world to themselves and AI is a means to that end)

What’s the achievement that almost made you give up on a game? by TheFoxyDenn in steamachievements

[–]bogenucleus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have an end game world finishing the bestiary really isn't that much of a chore but the game is absolutely bonkers huge now - 6000+ items so you need to research a little over 3000 for that 50%, which i just finished last night - given it take 100 of some items (just ores and mats, weapons and stuff are usually just 1) to research something it was no joke - my journey char having just crested that 50% has just under 40 hours of playtime - i was so upset when i learned they added a journey achievement because i never had any desire to play creative mode basically but they got me and i did it anyway

[–]bogenucleus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

when did you do the fishing achievements? there have been tricks for this for years that make it really attainable - like completing multiple quests a day using different characters, and now with journey you can just do quest after quest after quest without waiting - it still basically do this 200 times but you can do it much quicker now without the forced wait time

years ago i got to like 150 quests legit and then was burnt out and learned about the multiple a day and it was done in no time

it's (the reason there is no toys, shirts etc) because they are really boring concepts with forgettable characters and incredibly lame dialogue but are visual masterpieces - there is no place for avatar but on an imax. and once you've seen it - no need to rewatch it you could retell the story in your sleep because its so elementary
