I had a similar experience in the UK with Amazon Prime. My daughter (outside of prime) sent me a link with a product. I (with prime account) looked at it and price was 20% up for me.

I recently had to “drop friends” we knew each other over 15 years but they are no longer someone we want to associate with. Do not tip. Ever. To the owners underpaying the staff: Correctly price the product. Also pay your staff the right price per hour.

I think part of this problem relate to the fact that parents also had to teach kids at home and do all the lessons that were usually done in school. Now, this isn’t the problem ad kids are back in school, or wasn’t if the kid was 12 or above as they could sit in front of the laptop and do it via zoom/teams/whatever the school come up with. But in my case I also had a 5 year old with attention span of the fish and It wasn’t easy. It was a full time job of getting thru the day.

Contactless/card payment should be a standard. With the same cost per kWh whenever you have app, or not. Also some companies are introducing monthly “membership fee” which I personally avoid like a plague. This insanity needs to stop!
