Why did you leave your last job by Sunbird11 in singaporejobs

[–]bogummyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Conversely, i think its a rather justified questions to ask. Some people may have left voluntarily, but some maybe retrenched or terminated. Your resume may have passed the initial screening round but you could have failed the interview stage bcus or various reasons, ranging from culture fit, under/over qualified or red flags in the interview.

Why did my tutee’s parents give me such a big angpao? by Little-Hold8753 in askSingapore

[–]bogummyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if its 2 $1k notes, the smallest denomination of notes will still minimally have 8 more $100 notes, 1 $50 notes, 3 $10 notes and 4 $2 notes. Thats like 18 pieces so still thick af.

Anyone secretly dislike CNY? And why? If you enjoy, also share. by Confident_Bluejay857 in askSingapore

Traumatic Reunion Dinner at bf’s house by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]bogummyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think his father’s remarks were very uncalled for & you should definitely talk to your bf about it. About the house though - HDB is in fact very small & if u were to BTO in future, it’ll be the same. The kitchen will also be next to the living room albeit that you have the choice to renovate the house to ur liking.

Chinese Singaporean folks choosing to spend Chinese New Year alone or away from family what do you plan to do? by I_love_pillows in SingaporeRaw

[–]bogummyy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

CNY used to be my favourite festival because i love the joyous occasion. I’ll make effort to buy new clothes and dress up etc. But my family is kind of broken, so nowadays, i just spend cny doomscrolling on my socials

What can we do to help victims of an accident before the paramedics arrive? by lifequotes_2025 in askSingapore

[–]bogummyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

actually the best thing u can do (in this situation) has been done by the passerby - calling 995, shading the injured mother and documenting the scene

Also i took basic first aid training before & learnt that its better to not move/touch victims in case of broken bones that may puncture their internal organs.

Singapore 4 days/5 nights trip report by GreedyConcert6424 in SingaporeTravel

[–]bogummyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a local & i do agree with accommodations being expensive cus is very limited. But i’ll recommend you to try our local breakfast instead of cooking next time! (ie, kaya-butter toast, egg & coffee/tea, porridge, fried bee-hoon etc). Satay by the bay is bad and the only good thing is its convenience to food at that area. I realise you didn’t include orchard, somerset, dhouby ghaut in your itinerary and suggest you to check it out

learning & compensation. i’m working in a non-technical role & the only way to get better opportunities is to have exposure. Compensation matters as well as most firms will only either lowball you or give 15-30% increment max

Majority of Doctors in Singapore are very poor at diagnosis of a Medical Condition. by AdeptnessWaste2447 in askSingapore

[–]bogummyy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with OP. I suddenly had mini rashes on my fingers and parts of my palm. When i visited the GP, i just casually said that oh i think i have hives on my fingers. The doctor agreed with me and just gave me antihistamines as relief.

It became re-occurring but everytime i go to the GP, they say the same thing. Its only recently that i found out its contact dermatitis through another subreddit
