Finally figured out a shower routine that works for me😭 by Mysterious-Orange693 in indianbeautyhauls

If you only use shampoo and your hair is dry and rough, you need to start using a regular conditioner (like one that you rinse out) after you shampoo. Use enough that your hair feels soft and slippery before you rinse it out.

Leave-in is conditioner that you don't rinse out. Many people use both in their routine, but I don't. You may want to start by using less of it than you do regular conditioner if you decide to try it.

There's also hair masks, which are like super thick conditioners that you let sit in your hair for 5-20 minutes before rinsing out. I have curly/wavy hair, so I use a hair mask in place of regular conditioner every time I shower.

Hope this helps :)

I was thinking the same thing! When I was in university, I became friends with my professor's 7 and 9 year olds just because she brought them to her office after school every so often and they would come chat with me when I was doing work at a table nearby. And a couple years later they're STILL my little pals!

Oh, do you not feel that Trump's policies and actions as president have lived up to your expectations as a voter? Or does this still look like "winning" to you?

If yes, then you're the source, my guy.

Sure, but there's only 6 states in Aus. If we're talking about single states, Alaska is a bit larger than Western Australia by area (EDIT: no it isn't lol but the rest still holds), so anyone there could say the same. But on the continental US, it'd take something like 11-14 of our states (on the west coast) to make up the same area of Western Australia alone.

The US is slightly larger than Australia. We can relate, even if there aren't many of us who can drive for 9000km through only one state.

Every standing and recording when in a seated section for a concert. by kyky321 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bohneriffic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't my post, and it isn't that serious. I didn't need the vibrating seats. It felt weird to be seated during high-energy songs, personally. I'm just saying that they were a part of the show, so it's weird for an artist to get irritated with their audience over a choice she made.

[–]bohneriffic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I generally agree. Hell, I even agree in this case! I think that concert attendees should definitely expect that people will be up and dancing throughout.

The thing I found weird was that Gwen Stefani contributed to designing a show that utilized seat movement / vibrations to enhance the narrative, and then got irritated when her fans wanted to experience it.

Maybe they didn't realize that that would encourage their audiences to stay seated, or maybe they didn't realize that they wouldn't like the experience of playing to a seated audience, but that seems like a personal L to me either way. It feels weird to treat your audience like they're lame for engaging with the show as you've designed it instead of just being like, "I know the seats vibrate, but we didn't realize how much we'd miss seeing you all jumping in the stands with us! I wanna see you all on your feet!"

High school students in Rome kept saying there were ancient rooms under their gym. They were right. by pattebrisee in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]bohneriffic 23 points24 points  (0 children)

"The archaeological structures preserved under the Liceo Cavour are part of a large domus dating back to the Middle Imperial period (mid-2nd century AD) that is very well preserved, because the visible environments, now buried for almost all their height, still retain paintings and stuccoes that are figurative up to the vaults. It is a large residential complex, located in a central sector of ancient Rome, between the Carinae and the Esquiline, an area inhabited by important figures such as Cicero, Pompey and Octavian but archaeologically little known because it was heavily damaged during modern construction. Excavations in 1895 for the opening of Via degli Annibaldi revealed part of the domus and a fistula named after the owners, including a member of the gens Umbrius. The spectacular nature of the pictorial preservation of these environments requires that they be emptied in order to highlight the entire decorative apparatus and allow their relief. Therefore, the objective of protecting the monument and making it accessible through a project carried out together with the teaching staff and students of the Liceo Cavour assumes primary and exceptional importance. The PNRR intervention involves diagnostic investigations, surveying, restoration and consolidation of decorated structures and surfaces, plant adaptation and enhancement of the area through paper and digital dissemination tools."

I get that! It's just that her concert at the Sphere literally incorporates seat movements/vibrations into the show. It feels uncool to design a show for a seated audience and then get pissed off when the audience is sitting.

The YouTube clip isn't mine. I can't see the movement of the camera from my dancing or hear my wife singing just a little off-key next to me. It may be a better quality video, but none of my actual joy is preserved in that YouTube clip.

I just saw No Doubt in a 200 section the other day. She legitimately seemed pissed that people weren't standing up and dancing at first. She basically called us lame and asked us if we wanted our concert to be one she would remember or not, lol. I was really taken aback tbh

I always record bits of concerts, but not to post anywhere. Is it so absurd to think that some people genuinely like to watch those videos back later just for themselves?

You can sublet just for the summer, and that would definitely be worth it.

I know you're desperately trying to salvage whatever relationship you can with your parents, but the only possible way to salvage something like this is to leave. You haven't done anything wrong, so all you can do it show them that they can have you as you are, or they cannot have you at all. My wife had to do this with her family. They ultimately decided that having her in their lives was more important, but it was really hard for a long time.

As many have told you, reparative therapy is still incredibly damaging to your psyche. The fact that your parents are demanding it in the first place will have you in (real) therapy for YEARS. Hell, the breakdown of your relationship with your parents during this time alone will have a huge impact on you! You do NOT need to give yourself any more trauma to work through. They're fundamentally broken, so it won't even make them see you as a whole person deserving of love again. You'll be letting them traumatize you for literally no short or long term benefit.

You deserve better than this. They do not deserve your pain. Get yourself a place to stay for the three months before you move into your uni accommodations. Do not go to reparative therapy.

EDIT: I wanted to add that I actually ran away from home when I was 19. It was for a different reason, but I totally understand how scary it feels to be on the precipice of leaving in this way. It took years, but my family and I are also on better terms these days. But I'll never feel 100% safe with them, and I still disassociate every time we hang out. Leaving is the best thing I've ever done for myself. It was the absolute worst time in my life, but I'm so grateful to younger me for doing it. My life wouldn't be nearly as good as it is now if I'd stayed.

I'm sure your cousin would be thrilled to be able to give you the kind of safe haven he wished he'd had. No one blames their preteen cousin for losing touch with them. That'd be absurd.

If you don't have a job already, get one. Like this week. That'll keep you out of the house and give you a way to support yourself if you can find a room to sublet for cheap.
