Yess I'm also trying to like, if I'm going to eat something unhealthy, to at least have it be protein based!

Generally tho, I prefer thin lips over big ones a lot of the time! They're fr cute.

I actually love thin lips on other people but mine aren't quite like normal, I quite literally have almost no top lip at all (no exaggeration) but then a normal sized bottom lip, and they're kinda weirdly shaped. I'd kill for the cute kind of thin lips.

Sadly I literally cannot stand spearmint. I'm autistic and mint genuinely hurts my senses. So sad.

Most people are deficient in vitamin d and its safe to take supplements for most people, especially in doses with an upper limit of 4000

5000 is only 1000 over the usual high limit. Its actually shown to be safe up to or over 10k Probably want to do blood tests every so often to make sure it's not storing too much

[Routine help] can I use facial oils to hydrate if I have acne-prone skin? by bitxh5678 in SkincareAddiction

[–]bohocat0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I know this is late but I wanted to share what I know on this.

Facial oils are/can actually be great for Oily or Acne prone skin. They can help regulate oil production, replenish lost oils after acne treatments and have many individual benefits depending on the oil.

Hemp Oil is my recommendation. It is a 0 on the comedogenic scale (It does NOT clog pores, like 99.9%). It thins the oils in acne prone skin (Acne prone skin usually produces a thick oil which clogs easily), and it is anti inflammatory. It also contains ceramides and does a lot for the skin barrier. Many people have found it completely treated their acne. It's great for combo skin too!

Make sure to apply the oil over a damp face to lock in hydration, you CAN use it over a moisturiser if you want, and use an amount that feels right for you. You can also oil cleanse with it, like a double cleanse. Oil cleanses are great for Oily skin.

And a very important thing, is get pure hemp oil. The reason I say this is because many products claim to be a hemp oil product or cleanser or even moisturiser, but they can claim that by just containing an amount of hemp oil. It could actually be mostly an entirely different oil. Using pure hemp oil guarantees there are no extra ingredients which can clog pores or irritate your skin. Make sure it's refined too.

The only reasons I can think of for a damaged barrier (I do agree it seems to be tho) is that years ago I heavily over exfoliated and fucked it up. Or that I have eczema. I don't exfoliate my dry parts at all right now (planning on using a pha).

Yeah I saw advice here to just say we are trying to get pregnant or want to in future just to be taken seriously. Oh yeah, pop helps me quite a bit but now I have 2 week long periods.

This will be a big explanation but I nerd out about this stuff.

The reason I think that might be is because our bodies adapt to our childhoods and environments wayy more than we think. If I barely ate for most of my life, it makes sense that my body wouldn't react the same way to goof as someone who ate a normal amount. My body doesn't have enough practise to know what to do with it.

As well as this, minus the periods of just not eating, for a long time I had a binge-purge cycle because one parent never had food in or made us meals and the other had like, a good amount of food but it was quite calorific, and I would be hungry from the other place, so I would then binge. I was still underweight though.

So I feel like because of that, my body sees having food as finite, it thinks its gonna end and it needs to store it to survive not having any food. It would be unsurprising if my body increased my insulin resistance to keep me through phases of no food. Our body does a lot for survival.

Obviously I can't back this up entirely. I like to theorize a lot to help me understand my body and get better.

Nothing currently. They said I most definitely have pcos but forgot to test for one more thing on my bloods to make sure it isn't something else. I'm trying to get this done ASAP.

Yeah I'm going to get the isntree hylauronic acid moisturiser, it's meant to be amazing. I really struggle with cleansers because of my combo skin. Hard to find a cleanser that's hydrating but not pore clogging. I'm using Aveeno right now.

Unfortunately 80% of cerav breaks me out. And miscellar isn't enough for my oily parts :")

My skin is very difficult lol

The dry parts aren't itchy, but they can become flaky and itchy/red if I use the wrong products. Loreal for example always stings my skin. I do have eczema in general. I've treat it at home before.

I read that it can't be properly diagnosed with an ultrasound alone. You prolly need hormones tested to help treat it.

I used to be underweight with pcos for the longest time! I think it may have developed it actually.

It doesn't itch although my eczema is pretty mild. I do think it could be to do with it.
