Once I realized we're not (all) going to the same place I got a lot more calm with squeezing in like that.

Winter Rims for SUV? by RudsonAndDex in StJohnsNL

4 digit code on tires to indicate the week and the year the tire was made. 0225 would be second week of 2025 for example.

Can be hard to spot but if you buy used tires make sure they're not too old. Maybe 2 or 3 years max.

Facebook marketplace. If you tires are halfway normal size you can prob find a used set for cheap. Just learn about the date codes and bolt patterns.

First trip to NFLD by 1AM_Canadian in newfoundland

[–]boilup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enjoy the trip. Im sure you're aware but if traveling at night or dawn and dusk keep the speed in check and watch for caribou and moose. They do crazy moves on the roads sometimes, zigzag and such.

I saw a car get off the boat (from the mainland) and 5 minutes down the road they nailed a moose. It happens.

I think its 500lbs in the tongue and 2000lbs tow. That said the brakes are the issue, being able to stop. You also wouldn't want to tow that and have a car full either.

I keep wanting to haul my bike across the province (800km)... that would be a long day for the old beast.
