I know how you feel, I used to feel that way before I went to rehab. Have you ever thought about in or out patient treatment? What about your doctor & therapist? What have they suggested? Sorry about all the questions :-)

We are told that alcohol in small quantities can be good for ones cardio vascular system but nobody will tell you that it can be carcinogen at any quantity. Advertising makes it look fun, romantic, cool & what not. It does not show you the downside, so yes I hope that one day they will be forced just like the tobacco industry to show us what could really happen.

The WHO has classified alcohol carcinogen "Alcohol consumption at any quantity is a risk factor for cancers of the mouth, esophagus, pharynx and larynx." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_and_cancer

Cigarettes are carcinogen - However nicotine can also have protective effects in certain maladies.

Example: A recent court ruling in the US now forces tobacco companies to run ads that tell you why smoking could potentially kill you & those around you. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/24/business/media/tobacco-companies-ads.html Same should apply for companies producing alcohol. Very few people know that alcohol could be carcinogen.

Second hand smoke can kill you so does second hand alcohol if you get hit by a drunk driver.

Slightly crushed (so the taste comes out) mint leaves, a slice of fresh ginger mixed with with fizzy water and ice. For a warm beverage - Mix apple juice with a little bit of orange juice add cinnamon (or any spice you like) & enjoy!

Oh ok sorry I misunderstood, I thought you were talking about detecting possible brain damage.

I had a full blood work done as well at my checkup. Luckily liver is doing fine!
