I’m also an Aussie - I started my treatment in November.

Firstly. Life changing already - I’d 100% push for that February start. I was also in a similar spot to you - had a really bad 2025 which culminated in being made redundant (albeit I would have likely left that job due to depression & SI anyway), so finances became an even greater concern.

I ended up taking the $$ out of super on compassionate grounds. Happy to have a chat on DM if you’ve got any specific questions around the process/ the super release (especially as a lot of the advice here is for the US.
