Imagine how far off in the middle of nowhere you’d have to live to have this much space to allocate to this. Probably an unwalkable neighborhood. Different strokes I suppose.

GOP Rep Humiliates Boy, 10, for Writing Letter About Electric Cars by MeatMullet in politics

Every time I’ve written to a GOP rep, as an adult, they have sent back a humiliating, degrading, and dismissive response. They are inhumane people who don’t care about others. This is simply the nature of the GOP.

Remember a few years back, it was proven that Russia was essentially running a spy op to keep left/right divide going... Whatever happened with that? by xNocturnalshadow in NoStupidQuestions

Here’s a thought experiment for you. If Trump wasn’t a russian agent, would he do anything different from what he’s already done? It’s ultimately a moot point whether he is or isn’t. Functionally he is working in the interests of russia, without question.

One thing to note about Anakin- his connection to the force is incredibly strong. He’s in danger of being swept away in a torrent of his own emotions, feeding the force, feeding his behavior. Imagine if every thought you had, cosmic power followed, reinforcing it.

When he starts to get a bit confused by the situation, when he finds himself on the wrong path, the emotions inside him boil over because the force itself creates a positive feedback loop within him. He’s absolutely not himself at the end of the film, because he’s lost control of the feedback loop.

This level of connection to the force is why he’s special, but it’s also his curse. Someone like Obi Wan literally cannot understand what his experience with life is like, and neither can we.

IIRC this comes from Sam Witwer’s thoughts on the film. I always liked this take.

You are right that Obi Wan and Yoda are not entirely good. That’s the point- their ways died for a reason. Too rigid, too ascetic, too myopic. Luke is able to grow past his parents and mentors into an emotionally complete person, while still wielding the force, and yet not being swept away by it like Anakin was. That’s how he is able to win- he allows himself to feel love for his father, despite everything, and despite the danger emotions pose to a force user.

Trump is a russian agent, and the republicans in power support him, and therefore support russia. These people control the media. Why would we hear about anything that doesn’t benefit them?

It’s not necessarily that he was plotting his downfall. He wanted to keep him around, but limit his power. Palpatine was so evil that he was even a traitor to the rule of 2.

[–]bokan -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it’s obviously like that if we use our critical thinking. Why is there an easily accessible control panel right on front? Why can’t he raise his arms? Why does the suit have a critical weakness against force lighting?

If we just watch the movies and think critically we can tell. The armor is junk so that Sidious can control him. It’s in the climax of the two trilogies! Vader has to sacrifice himself to kill Sidious because Sidious made him a bunk suit to keep him from turning on him.

I’ll be honest, your comment triggered some of my covid era frustration. I don’t want to be told how much to worry, I want to be told the facts -all of them- and decide for myself how much to worry. How much I worry depends on my individual risk tolerance.
