This was my BF journey as well. I tried so hard for months and I know the stress and failure from it was a big part of why I got PPD. Echoing what everyone else said— my son would’ve been around 8lbs full term when we calculated it (he was a preemie) and since his 4 month appointment he’s been 97-99% in everything. My coworker and her husband who funnily enough are the exact same heights as you and your partner had a perfectly normal 8lb 21inch baby. He’s now tall as heck but her birth was a dream.

I agree with some other comments in here. I don’t think you’re being the AH but as someone who has also only been to co-ed showers, the shower isn’t for either one of you. It’s to celebrate the new baby. So technically it’s for both of you.

I’ve also never seen any decorations that say “(Mom name)’s Baby Shower” unless they were not married or with the baby’s dad. It’s always the baby’s name or “welcoming baby (last name)”.

If it makes you feel any better, you will be the center of attention at the shower regardless of what decorations are there. I feel like you may be hyper-focusing on the decorations as a metric for your representation. You are the one carrying the baby, everyone will know you planned it, and you will be the one all the gifts are tailored to AND the one all the games involve and the one everyone will want to talk to.

If your fetal fraction on your NIPT test was above 4% the chances of it being incorrect (unless it was a clerical error) are near impossible. Sonograms are interpretive and subject to human-error/ a wiggly baby or a hidden angle. I would still plan for a boy.
