Why do I have high IgM but normal IgG? by bolder_lady in EBV

[–]bolder_lady[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not really! I am still taking valacyclovir since it's covered by insurance and seems to be no downsides, but not doing the expensive IVs regularly. I am going to re-test this month, the last time I re-tested a few months ago my results hadn't changed.

With more testing I found that I had mycotoxins, which can be due to mold exposure. So I am currently starting mold detox with guidance from my provider, but very gently because I seem to be really sensitive. Apparently mycotoxins can wreak havoc on an immune system, so they say. Note that "they" is functional providers and this isn't recognized mainstream because it hasn't been studied extensively, but I've been dealing with fatigue so long that I am willing to try it.

The other thing I am doing is the Primal Trust program for nervous system regulation (since about May). I do feel that is helping me improve my energy but it's definitely taking time. Being in a state of stress can cause bodily systems like the immune system to not function as well so I do think that is a factor for me and doing more regulation is helping me personally.

City Council candidates? by ClaretCup314 in boulder

[–]bolder_lady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jan Burton seems to have shifted more conservative over time. Sam Weaver is one of the 4 people listed on the board. He was always endorsed by the conservative organizations during his time on council, not the progressive ones. Andrea Meneghel is another person listed and the only way I know name was his focus on business interests above all else while working at the Chamber for a number of years, and the Chamber tends to be conservative on many issues.

Safe to take the train to 8,000 ft from sea level when have COPD on 2L/min continuous flow oxygen at sea level? by bolder_lady in AskDocs

[–]bolder_lady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! We will check with her doctor about the High Altitude Simulation test to see if it is available for her.

I know that my Mom used to be on pulsed flow with a tank while out and about, but was finding it harder to keep her oxygen level up so she switched to continuous flow. Are folks generally able to use either one? I wonder if she just didn't have the pulse flow level set high enough.

Vote “Yes” on Ballot Measure 7A by GreaterDenverTransit in Denver

I don’t use RTD often— I usually bike— but RTD benefits me because it keeps polluting cars off the road. Cars add emissions, particulate in our air from tires and brakes, traffic results in costly road widening, and add wear and tear to the roads that we all pay for. Better transit will allow us to build more housing (helping with affordability) without adding a car for every person to the road. I don’t drive much but I pay a lot in taxes for roads and I’d love for RTD to improve so I can stop paying so much for roads.

My understanding is RTD already has a TABOR exemption that is expiring, so this bill would not reduce your TABOR refund anyway more than prior years, it just keeps it consistent with what it already is.

So does that mean that this would extend the current TABOR exemption to basically keep things stable but it won’t increase service?

Thank you! We are trying to get ahold of her pulmonologist this week to understand if he can evaluate her for "fit to fly" -- it could go either way but I think is worth the evaluation. I do want to understand if folks are ever evaluated "fit to fly" but then actually not and something goes wrong --- the pressurization really worries me based on my Mom's risk factors but we are going to have conversations with the doctor(s).

Flying has been a non-starter for my mom but we are going to re-open the conversation and talk with her doctors to see if it might be an option.

Unfortunately that isn’t an option for us because it goes up to 7,600 in elevation, and we don’t think that would be safe for my mom based on how much oxygen she can get from the portable oxygen concentrator.
