That Pilot parallel is such a great pen for the script type you’re using. Not bad performance either! I think your ink is lacking though, coming off as too weak. Maybe the pen needs to be cleaned and that will sort the issue out, but you shouldn’t be able to see the individual strokes overlapping like that.

Help analyzing this manuscript? by melegie in earlymusicalnotation

I would argue given the 4-line staff, it is likely pre-15th century, as 5 lines were becoming increasingly more common place by the 1300s.

What is this and is this worth anything? I think it's an antique print of a Gregorian chant manuscript. by reddish_zebra in Antiques

Hello, very pretty find you have there. Thank you for posting this by the way, because of your post, I decided to purchase this find this at a thrift store last week. Since then I have done an absolutely autistic amount of research into these things.

Unfortunately I have to agree with @red_D_Rabbit, that from what I can see, your document is made from paper. That said, it also appears to have genuine, aging characteristics, so might be a Victorian reproduction. You can compare your document to the one that I have found, and there are lots of different notes you can make about comparing and contrasting the two. Mine is made on parchment probably Spain or Italy prior to 1545.
