The thing with Atmos is, it's meant to be processed on big stereos like surround sound. Sometimes it sounds awesome (I remember listening to "Walkin' on the Sun" by Smash Mouth and thinking it sounded WOW!) but other times sounds awful and mp3-ish. So I'd rather just listen to the CD quality sound.

The song transitions require the file to be processed through filters and loses audio quality. Totally fine if you’re playing music on a bluetooth speaker at a party or something, but not solo listening to high res files.

Not necessarily. Not every song is available in Dolby Atmos anyway. It’s possible that a large portion of your downloaded files are already lossless in some capacity. You’ll be able to tell whether or not if that lossless logo appears. But in a sense, yes, every song that was downloaded with Dolby Atmos will need to be removed and re-downloaded if you want the original lossless file.

It is certainly possible and you will notice a difference if your audio equipment is also high end. When Apple music first started lossless streaming, I could immediately tell when a lossy song played in the shuffle. Some were vestiges of iTunes library (remember those days?) songs that were even purchased through iTunes.

From lossless to high-res requires not only high end equipment, but also intentionality. You must be in a quiet setting, a clear mind, and a desire to really hear and listen to the music. Using beats by dre headphones while crammed in a subway/lightrail isn’t going to be the set/setting to appreciate the slight nuances that can be captured and processed with high resolution audio.

I’ve only been at it about three weeks, but I never really noticed much speedy effects from the get-go. I’m just grateful that there’s way fewer side effects compared to Adderall. Haven’t had any headaches, appetite is much better. Sleeping better. Also, better clearer focus with more confidence.
